Give Thanks | Kelly Janes

Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 layout using the Thanks & Giving Cut File!

Fall layouts are my absolute favorite layouts to make! I love the colors of the Fall leaves and the festivities of the season, but Thanksgiving isn't a holiday I typically scrapbook. Mainly because the photo quality isn't always the best (cramped house, poor indoor lighting, etc). I happened to snap this series of photo using my phone a couple years ago, and I love the progression of each picture! You can see the story just by the look on my nephew's expression! HA!

I started the layout by cutting the "giving thanks" portion of the Thanks & Giving Cut File. I made the cut file large and wanted to use it as a main focal image on the layout. My photos weren't the best quality so I converted them to black & white and printed them small. I nestled the photos within the title of the cut file and created embellishment clusters around the photos for extra pops of color.

There are so many fun designs in this cut file set and so many great cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store for all seasons and holidays! Be sure to check them out!

Thankful with Joanna Bandelin

Hi friends, Joanna here sharing a sweet thankful scrapbook page. Thanksgiving was yesterday here in the states and I thought it was fitting to share a page of my daughter because I am very thankful for her!

I used the Feels Like Fall cut file that was a freebie in the November newsletter from The Cut Shoppe. Be sure to sign up for the newsletter to get all the newest freebies!

I used my Cricut to cut the cut file in white cardstock. I backed it with the Auburn Lane collection from Pink Paislee. I then added a few clusters of embellishments around my photo.

To off finish my page I added some gold thread tucked behind the clusters and some gold ink splatters on the top and bottom.
Thanks for stopping by!

Joyful | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.  I was so excited when Ashley released the new Holly Jolly Christmas TN Decorative Page cut file!  I knew it would be perfect for some holiday documenting in my traveler's notebook.

Here's the layout I created for my 2018 December Daily Album:

For my project today, I used the Christmas Stories kit from Citrus Twist Kits.  To begin the spread, I printed out the cut file using white cardstock, sizing it slightly smaller than the TN page, because I knew I wanted to use the black and white plaid patterned paper as a background behind the cut file.  Next, I backed the trees with different red and green patterned papers, leaving a few of them open so that the plaid pattern would show through.  I LOVE how it turned out!

For the title, I added a 'Joyful' sticker to a cut apart tag from the kit.  I also added some twine to the tag and a few enamel dots.

For the other side of the layout, I added a strip of red patterned paper to a white cardstock base and created a tag using a green paper.  I added my photo and used washi tape to create a flip-up for my journaling.

Thank you for joining me today.  Be sure to check out all of the fun new Holiday cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store!

Summer Is Coming | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It's Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new Summer themed layout featuring the awesome 'Summer Is Coming' cut file. Its getting pretty hot down here in Australia and we are never short of Summer photos to scrapbook, all the Summer themed cut files are perfect to document our Summer!

Summer Is Coming

I started out by cutting the cut file design from white cardstock, I then chose lots of the fun papers from the 6'x 8'paper pad from the Sunny Days collection. to back behind each letter in the title. I love how all the colours and patterns look together! Once the letters were all backed, I used craft foam underneath to pop it up off the pink background patterned paper. I placed it down the bottom of the page so that I was able to add my photo and some embellishments at the top.

I layered a few die-cuts underneath my photo and just had to add that super cute girl transparent die-cut piece to the left of the photo too. On the right of the photo, the Sun Shine Sun die-cut was perfect to add, I like the pop of yellow. I added one of the blue puffy hearts to this piece as well.  I also added some embellishments overlapping the cut file to bring some more interest to the design.

I hope my layout had inspired you in some way today? Don't forget to check out The Cut Shoppe for all your cut file designs!

See you next time!

Happy creating!

Holly Jolly Christmas | Vânia Fonseca

Hello crafty friends! Vânia here and today i will be using the new Holly Jolly Christmas cut file available at The Cut Shoppe.

With all those beautiful projects popping up on my instagram feed i could resist and start preparing my December Daily album.

This file it´s for a Travaler´s notebook format, but i think you could also use it, for exemple inside a regular 6x8 album.

I´m using the Alegría collection from Gigi et Moi. I first cut the file in plain white card stock, this way the colors really stand out.

Then backed the cut file mixing some patterned papers from the collection with glitter ones from my stash that match the colors that i´m using.
To add a little bit of volume i adhere the circular die cut using foam.

To embelish one of the 6x4 cards on the left side of my page i use some stamps from Feed Your Craft. Then to finish, just add little stars  on the top of each tree in different materials.

Thank you so much for watching, see you next time!

Cozy Times - THE CUT SHOPPE

Hey scrappy people,

it's Lisa back on the blog to share my new layout I made using the Lovely Labyrinth cutfile available on The Cut Shoppe website.

When I saw this cutfile, I immediately had the idea to use it as the little shell of a snail. I cut it out of light pink paper and backed it with yellow, blue and pink hearts that I had cut slightly bigger. When I was done backing the cutfile, I adhered it to a bright pink cardstock and cut the circle out.

As I like to do, I created the rest of the snail by paper-piecing all the parts and sticking them together.
I adhered the snail to my background and used a ton of big flowers I cut out of an old Amy Tangerine patterned paper. The colors and style were perfect, it looks so cute.

For my picture, I used one we took almost a year ago, when me and my girls were having fun taking pictures in cozy clothes... :) I matted it with some scraps of patterned paper and added it to the layout. Then I added my title using Thickers. To add some more cute details, I used some blue puffy stars all over and also added some blue splatters.

I hope you like how it turned out...
See you soon!

Lisa :)

Wrapping All The Way | Kylie Kingham.

Hello lovely friends! It's Kylie back with you today and I have a brand new layout to share with you all. The festive season is fast approaching so I couldn't resist creating with the 'Wrapping All The Way' cut file now available on The Cut Shoppe website. It is one of four new releases in store this week!

I chose to work with the 'Mistletoe Kisses' collection by Kaisercraft for my layout and went with a white background so the colours would really pop. Using a star stencil, I have added a little gold texture paste to my background as well.Three of my favourite paper designs were then selected to back the text of my cut file and the bow was backed with the same paper as my border.

Adhesive foam tape was added to the back of my cut file before adding it to my background. By doing so adds a little dimension and height to my completed design.

To complete the balance of my layout I have added some die cuts to the base of my cut file. My photo was backed with co-ordinating card stock before being adhered to the bow.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope my layout has given you a little inspiration for your own Holiday creating. Don't forget you will find this cut file, as well as many more via The Cut Shoppe website.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

vacay mode / kim Jeffress

Welcome back to the Cut Shoppe blog. It's Kim here and today I am excited to share my newest pocket page with you using the Vacay Mode cut file set. On our vacation in Mykonos we spent a few hours at a typical Mykonos beach.  When I saw the summer sunglasses I knew that they would be perfect for my photos. The Outdoor Life Digital Stamp set was also the perfect way to also add extra details to some of my photos for texture without the bulk.

I love all the cute designs in this set.

I cut the sunglasses file 6 inches across so it would fit in the 4x6 pocket. I then backed it with vellum and adhered it to the yellow pattern paper background with pop dots for added dimension.

I then used cut the Sea You Soon cut file at 3 inches wide so it would fit into the 3x4 pocket. I also added some detail to my photo with the Outdoor Life Digital Stamp set.

I added my journaling under the cut file flap for a fun interactive element.
Thanks for joining me here today. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Together Falala | Kelly Janes

Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Boughs of Holly Cut File (which was a freebie cut file from 2017).

I don't normally scrapbook out of season, but I've been feeling festive early with all of the December Daily goodness that is being posted lately. I used an older collection from Basic Grey to cut the cut file and then positioned the cut file on another patterned paper. The cut file was blending in a little too much on the background, so I added black hand-stitching around the entire cut file to help it pop.

I then moved onto embellishing. This Basic Grey collection is several years old, and I don't have any die cuts from the collection. I only have the chipboard and sticker sheet. Thankfully the new Pink Paislee Christmas Collection die cuts matched! I added all of those embellishments around the layout and my photo. I am so happy with how this turned out. It's very minimalistic, but I love all of the different textures and dimension!

The Cut Shoppe Store is full of great cut files, digital stamps and much more! Be sure to check it out!
