Hello there,
Nathalie with you today bringing you some inspiration just in time for Valentine's Day.
If you own a fur baby, then you know how fast they steal your heart, and become part of your family - no longer your pet -. Our little one, our baby Poochie, is probably the best addition to our family, and my daughter's "Bestie". You can say they were meant to be together. So I set out to document one of the many portraits of their love using the new "Be Mine" and "Friends Forever" cut files in a 12x12 layout.
The background was created using the "Be Mine"cut file. The XO image was copied a few times, and arranged to formed a 'rectangle' in the background. All the empty spaces of the cut-out were backed with papers from the Crate Paper's Heart Day collection, and vellum. Also pink vellum hearts were cut and just through the center of the large hearts in the cutout.
The picture was layered with papers and ephemera from the collection, and embellishment from the Clique Kits's Love Always kit.
Finally the title was built using the "Friends Forever" cut file; by having the Cameo perforate the edge of the words, I was able to use watercolor pencils to paint the title, and then hand stitched around it. A small offset was also added to the image so that there is a small white space after the words - this helps with stitching, but also makes the title pop-.
I hope this serves as inspiration to use all the lovely cut files available at the Cut Shoppe Etsy store, with some of the many pink, and red papers popping here and there at this time of the year. Remember to use @thecutshoppe to tag the store whenever you share your projects on social media, and use the hashtag #TCSCUTITOUT to join the monthly challenge -one lucky winner will receive a gift certificate at the end of the challenge-.
Thanks for visiting today!
