Ohana Means Family with Jennifer

Hello,

this is Jennifer with a new layout for The Cut Shoppe Design Team! This time I created a really colorful and fun layout with Mixed Media elements.

For this layout I used the super cute flowers from the Folk Art cutfile and cut them from white cardstock.

I then used a few of my shimmer mists and a piece of plastic packaging to bring some colors to those flowers. A few sprinkles here and there added a finishing touch. Because I didn't use a lot of water the cardstock didn't warp much. I curled the leaves of the flowers up myself for a bit of dimension.

I added a bit more color to my background by using a flowery stencil and some mint colored acrylic paint. The stencil matched the flowers from the cutfile perfectly so I was pretty happy with the end result.

I used a black and white picture from an outing with friends und added lots and lots of colorful layers, that super fun pompom frame and few chipboard stickers. My title I pieced together from several different alpha and phrase sticker sets.

That's it for today - thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

xoxo

  1. I think this is just brilliant! You've made the folkart cut-file flowers look hip and fresh as a breeze. I also think the stenciling peeking out from beneath your flowers is really pretty and adds yet another dimension! Super inspiring Jennifer! @KellyMadeit
