Page Turner

Hello friends!  Candace back with you today to share a two page 6x8 layout using the Page Turner cut file.  

One of my favorite things about cut files is the ability to manipulate size and dimension.  This is perfect when you are looking to create the perfect title.  For this layout I wanted a large title but I also wanted it to have lots of dimension.  I wanted the title to stand off the page like thickers.

To create this look on my title I measured my layout to see exactly what size I needed.  Next, I cut the title 5x out of the same black card stock.  I took all the layers and adhered them on top of one another to create a title that was thick and full of dimension.  

Using these same steps you can create custom titles for all your projects in the perfect size and thickness.

To finish off this simple layout I added a few chipboard phrase stickers and die cut shapes to support my story.  To ground the bottom of the spread I added a strip of washi tape.  This keeps the eye from wandering off the page.  My extended journaling tells the story of my little bookworm and how we love his thirst for knowledge.

Feel the Love

Hello friends!  Candace here with you today to share a layout made with the Feel the Love cut file.  I still adore all the love cut files that came out during Valentines.  I just can't stop playing with them!

I recently took a photo of all my littles at the dentist. It was just an everyday moment, but it was adorable and I loved it.  This is the photo I decided to scrap with the pie chart cut file in Feel the Love.  I used papers and embellishments from my stash, which felt great to make a little dent in my collection of Studio Calico and Ali Edwards goodies.  Here is a look at the final layout.

Borderlines Too-Photo Love

Hello Cut Shoppe friends!  Candace back with you today to share a simple layout made with my favorite border cut file, Borderlines Too.

This cut file is so versatile!  I can't even count how many times I have used this one cut file on my layouts and cards.  I especially adore the sketchy hearts!  Which is why I chose to use this cut file today.

Many of you already know that I am a mom of four crazy boys so I don't get to play with the girly scrapbooking goodies very often.  I took this photo of my little niece a few months back and it was just begging for a layout.  I love this simple, beautiful photo of her so I wanted to keep the layout simple and sweet too.

Criss Cross Arrows-Adventure

Hello friends!  Candace here with you today to share a layout all about layering.  Most of the time when I think about cut files I think about full page cut files and using them as the main design element for my page.  But cut files can be used for so much more!  For this layout I wanted to challenge myself use the cut file as a layering piece to add interest and dimension to my layout.  For this little challenge I used the Criss Cross Arrows cut file.

I cut down the 8.5 x 11 cut file and layered it behind one of my all time favorite photos of my hubby and boys out on an adventure hike.  I added some hidden journaling in a pocket I created between the photo and cut file.  Once I had some direction the layout came together in a breeze!  With the addition of chipboard pieces, some 3x4 journaling cards and ink splatters the layout was done.
