Snowed In | Erica Thompson

Hey everyone! Erica back today with a winter layout using the last Freebie Friyay cut file of December Snowed In! This set is perfect for all your winter layouts!

I started with a piece of white smooth American Crafts cardstock. I decided to add some texture on the page so I pulled out some Shimmerz Spun Sugar Dazzlerz! This is the first time using this product and I absolutely love it!

I just love the texture it added to the white cardstock! I packed the cut file with papers from a past holiday Clique Kit. The kit featured the Sweater Weather collection from American Crafts. I love the color combination is this collection!

Once I backed the cut file I added some foam squares for dimension and added the cut file to my layout! The photo is of my oldest son Drake and my daughter Alyssa a few years ago. We had a big snow storm and they were just dying to get outside! They had to use the back door because the snow was so high we had a drift at our front door that was crazy and we could not get out! The snow almost covered our mailbox! It was so pretty and the kids had a blast!

I added stickers and die cuts around the photo and an epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio!
I love how the layout turned out and I am so glad I pulled this kit out! It is perfect with the Snowed In cut file! Here is a look at my completed layout using the Freebie Friyay cut file!

Merry Christmas with Joanna Bandelin

Hello friends! Joanna Bandelin here, I'm sharing a Christmas page with you today. Now that Christmas is over I've got loads of great photos to scrap and I'm sure you do too if you celebrate.  This is a photo of myself with my family Christmas morning before the madness of opening presents began. So here's some fun & bright inspiration for ya, I used 3 different cut files to create my look.

For my title is used The Tinsel Town cut file.

I fussy cut all the little winter characters and made little clusters near the bases of the trees.

I used The Trimming the Tree cut file for 2 of the trees.

And I also used the trees from the Branches & Boughs Freebie Friyay cut file. To finish my page I punched a label tag and stamped the date on it and I love using some Heidi Swapp gold color shine.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired to get those holidays photos documented..you'll be so glad you did!

Absolutely Love | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  It's Marsha here again today sharing a fun traveler's notebook layout.  I used the Crazy Love cut file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to create this spread.

I started this layout by choosing the background paper, a patterned paper with a beautiful mixed media look but none of the work!  It is from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection.  I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and backed it with a navy dot paper.  I just love the bold look of this cut file!

I layered some die cuts and puffy stickers from the American Crafts Journal Studio collection, and added the other portion of my title using Pink Paislee Thickers.
For the other page, I used more of the die cuts to layer behind my photo.  I then used the puffy stickers, die cuts and an arrow paper clip to embellish the page.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I can't wait to see the projects you create using TCS cut files!

VERY MERRY FREEBIE FRIYAY | Snowed In

Can you believe that this is our last Freebie Friyay of 2018??!!  But don't worry, we'll still have our monthly Freebie Friyay for you on the first Friday of each month!  Today, we have a winter themed cut file set, called Snowed In.  Hopefully you've had some winter weather where ever you are, and if not this year, you probably have some photos from previous years to document.  We were so excited to have actual snow that accumulated last year, so I used one of the photos of the kids, that I snapped that day.

https://app.box.com/s/ih2qzr2cu689kysr1u0wt0guujbj7epr

I cut one of the snow flakes from three patterned papers from the Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa collection.  Before adding them to my background, I machine stitched along each one.  Then I placed my photo in the center.  I also cut the winter image to use as part of my title.  I love that the polka dot paper gives a nice contrast over the lighter colored snowflakes.

Make sure you check out the link to download Snowed In!  And we love to see what you're creating with The Cut Shoppe cut files, so don't forget to tag us when you share on social media!

Happy Hanukkah

Hey there and good morning! It's Devra here today sharing a fun holiday project. I used Happy Hanukkah portion of the FriYay Freebie Celebrate the Season cut file.

This file is so fun I wanted it to shine on its own. I cut it pretty large using as both a title and embellishment. Cutting it in darker paper then backing it in lighter paper really makes it stand out! Lastly, I used pop dots so it really looks like its jumping off the page. I love it!

Thanks for stopping by today. Share your project  with us in The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot facebook group. We love to see what you are creating with cut files! See you next time!

Merry everything | Sasha Biyanova

Hey, The Cut Shoppe friends!
Merry everything!

Today is Sasha here! We celebrate a New Year in Russia) This layout about the very first New Year of my daughter, Aline! She was too little so I sewed her funny soft christmas tree))

I used two cut files to create this layout! The first one is the Christmas Star. I think it's very beautiful for the title)

And the second one is Branches and Boughs. This cut file is free)

I've cut trees but then decided to fussy cut all the branches and made the wreath)

Becides that year my family has a tradition to decorate a Christmas tree on December 31! But other families decorate it much earlier)

Hope, you were inspired and will decide to create beautiful holidays projects with these cut files or other from The Cut Shoppe!

Happy holidays and holidays crafting!

Tis The Season To Sparkle | Tarrah McLean

Merry Christmas Cut Shoppe friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back today to share a festive project with you! I wanted to create my own top to wear to work on my last day for the year and the Tis the Season cut file set was perfect for it!

image 0

Once I had traced the cut file, I wanted to see what the colours would look like in the software, so I filled the words and stars in to match with the green, red and gold glitter vinyl colours I had chosen. This is a great way to get an insight to how your finished product will look! See below a screenshot of the colours filled in.

You may notice that I moved the bigger star to the right hand side instead of the left where it was in the original design. I also moved the word 'season' so that it sat more in the centre. I released the compound path in the design software so that the words were separated and I could group and cut the same colours on the appropriate sheet of vinyl as you can see below. MAKE SURE YOU MIRROR YOUR DESIGN IN THE SOFTWARE for heat transfer vinyl as you have to load heat transfer vinyl upside down in the machine.

Once everything was cut, I weeded out the unwanted pieces of vinyl so that just the words and shapes that I wanted were left on the backing sheet. I laid them on to my shirt how I wanted the finished product to look being careful not to iron them onto themselves or onto backing sheet.

I then ironed them on using a hot setting on the iron with a thin tea towel in between the shirt and the iron. I checked if it had worked before I had finished by peeling up the corners of the backing sheet once it had cooled down a little bit.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!

Merry Christmas Star | Amanda Baldwin

Hi Friends!

Amanda here, & boy oh boy am I getting excited for Christmas! It's the most wonderful time of the year! I just love spreading the Christmas cheer!
For today's layout I wanted to create something fun 'n' magical, & The Christmas Star cut file was the perfect choice!

Here's my layout, "Merry"

Isn't this magical?!!
I have been inspired by visions of sugarplums and used all the pink, glitter & sparkles!
That giant sequin shaker star is just stunning! And I just adore the super glittery Merry title!
There's no denying that the Christmas Star digital cut file is all kinds of awesome!
It looks like this....

Wow! What an amazing file with SO many possibilities!
You can get this fabulous cut file from The Cut Shoppe HERE.

For today's layout, I simply enlarged the Merry star to 8 inches wide and cut it out in white Bazzill cardstock. I created a 'pocket' by backing the star with a layer of pattern paper & vellum. Before I sealed off the pocket, I filled it with sparkly sequins. To add extra sparkle and interest, I glued more sequins over the top of the vellum, and then dressed the title in pink glitter paste. I just loved how this turned out! So festive & fun!
Here's a closer look for you....

To enhance the magical feel of this layout, I created a whimsical, cotton candy style background with Shimmerz Paints Vibez: Jeni Be Bleu, Vibez: Sweet Heart, Coloringz: Oh Say Can U Sea? & Spritz: Cotton Candy. This mixed media base really makes the Merry star stand out. For added 'pop' factor, I mount the Merry star on thickened foam tape. So effective!

On closer view, you'll also spot that I embellish the Merry star with a few stickers, and some cotton floss threads! Very pretty details!

Just look at that glitter title! So.much.sparkle!!!
The Christmas Star cut file is just a stunning addition to any Festive project!

Aren't they adorable?! Such a Merry Christmas moment!

With only 3 days til Santa comes, I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a safe and very Merry Christmas!
And a Happy New Year!

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
