Lovely moments layout - Lisa Fonseca

Hey friends,

it's Lisa back on the blog today and I'm sharing a super fun layout using the beautiful cutfile SPRING FLOWERS. You can check out all of the other super cute cutfiles on the THECUTSHOPPE website.

I know that my last two layouts for The Cut Shoppe have also had big hearts... well, I can't stay away from hearts apparently... ;) I just love them! When I saw this cutfile, I knew I wanted to use it. Flowers and hearts, it was just screaming my name! :)

To start I chose the papers and colors I wanted to use. I wanted my color scheme to be a bit different than usual. Of course, I wanted pink, but I also wanted the layout to be bold and not too pastel. I went to my big drawer of scraps of patterned papers and chose the ones I liked together.

I cut out the cutfile from white cardstock and also created a cutfile from it with just one flower. I then used that flower cutfile to cut out all my colored flowers to back the cutfile. That way, I didn't have to trace all the flowers and cut them all by hand.

I started by adhering all my flowers to the white background and then added the cutfile on top. That way, the flowers were not matching the cutfile exactly and I love that effect, when some parts peek out from the sides. Then I went around it with my stitching machine and white thread a few times to give it more definition and to have this cool messy border.

I looked through some of my Maggie Holmes collections and found a few fussy-cut flowers and leaves, word stickers and puffy stickers, some heart stickers and some green jewel stars. I used the word stickers as my title and the rest of the embellishments to decorate my heart.

I also used a super cute sticker with a girl lying on an inflatable hoop... :) To add more detail and interest, I used some tangled gold thread behind my fussy-cut flowers.
I also created a frame with a fun yellow patterned paper and then splattered gold paint around the heart.

I really hope you like it, thank you so much for stopping by,

see you soon,

Lisa :)

Espresso Yourself | Vânia Fonseca

Hello crafty friends!
Vânia here and today i´m sharing a 12x12 page that i made using the Espresso Yourself cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

I love coffe, and i couldn´t start my day without my expresso. So i made this layout to document my love for this small cup of coffee.

I´m using a couple of different Maggie Holmes collections some bits and pieces from Heritage and some from Willow Lane.

I´ve start by cutting the file using white cardstock, then chose different patterned papers to back the cut file. I put my photo inside the letter O and create a little embellishment cluster around it.

Also grab a couple of different stamp sets from my stash, coffe themed, and stamped a couple of phrases and fake coffee splatters in some of the letters.

To Finish the page i add a couple of stickers and some ink splatters to my page.
Thank you so much for passing by, see you soon!

Sweet Summer Time | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends,

It's Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new Summer layout! Its currently very hot down here in Australia so a Summer layout it is today!

I used the Sweet Summer Time freebie cut file that was included in the June 27th 2019 newsletter.

I cut the cut file design out from white cardstock and then backed the title parts with 2 different patterned papers from the Sunny Days 6' x 8' pad. I used the pink in 'Summer' to make it stand out just a little bit more. For the spikes of the sun, I chose a yellow paper from the 6' x 8' paper pad.

Once it was all backed, I adhered it down to another piece of white cardstock. I then matted my photo with another of the 6' x 8' papers and adhered it to the bottom right of my page. I then started to embellish using chipboard pieces, die-cuts and stickers and puffy stickers.

The 'Vacay Vibes' die-cut piece was perfect underneath the 'Time' word and I just had to add the teal coloured chipboard car here too! A few of the other chipboard embellishments I added are the shell on the left, the heart at the top and the 'Sunkissed' piece right at the top too.

Make sure to check out The Cut Shoppe store for amazing cut file designs to enhance any project!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Merry & Bright | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here with you today sharing a layout in my December Daily.  I am slowly but surely filling my album with lots of memories from the month.  My layout is featuring one of the FREE 12 Days of Christmas cut files- Christmas Ornaments.

For my layout today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Snowflake collection.  I chose to only cut out a portion of the cut file so that it would fit onto one side of my album.  I cut out the cut file using white cardstock and backed each ornament with different patterned papers.

I added some stamping to a couple of the ornaments, along with some gold chipboard stars and puffy number stickers.

For the other side of the layout, I added my photo and used ephemera, and stickers to embellish the page.  I used some puffy gold phrase stickers for the title.

The spread came together so quickly using this fun and FREE cut file!  Be sure to stop by The Cut Shoppe store and check out all of the new designs.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Love Language | Vânia Fonseca

Hello crafty friends! Vânia here with a new 12x12 layout using the Love Language cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Really love all the speech bubbles in this cut file. And it was perfect to document a photo of me and my mum.
I chose to work on a patterned paper as background so i cut out the cut file using white card stock.

I used the Heritage collection from Maggie Holmes, and backed the speech bubbles with a couple of different patterned papers, a little bit inspired by patchwork.
On the top i add different kinds of stickers, die cuts, so i could have a lot textures.

Also leave some of speech bubbles empty, so i could stamp directly on my background and add one more layer to my page.

I used foam between the cut file and the background to give dimension. This way the heart really stands out from the background.

To finish my page i add some withe ink splatters.

Thank you so much for watching!

Happy Haunting | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a traveler's notebook layout using the Happy Haunting Cut File and the Boo Who Digital Stamp.  Halloween layouts are so much fun to create, and there are so many fun Halloween designs to choose from at The Cut Shoppe!

Today, I am documenting a photo of my son and nephew taken a couple of years ago.  They have always loved dressing up in Luke's old costumes, and I was excited to create a page using this cute photo of them!

For this spread, I began by printing some of the digital stamps onto vellum.  I love using vellum on hybrid layouts, because it allows for easy layering over photos and other elements on the spread.  Next, I trimmed the "Happy Haunting" stamp and layered it over a piece of patterned paper from my stash, adding some machine stitching to adhere it to the page.  I used some stickers from the Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin collection to embellish the page.

For the other side of the layout, I cut out the cut file using a dot patterned paper.  I added my photo and used a circle punch to cut out one of the stamps I printed on vellum.  I layered it over my photo and added a tag behind the photo.  I printed another one of the digital stamps onto white cardstock, trimmed it out, and layered it over the bottom of the photo.

Next, I added an ephemera pumpkin to the page, layered one of the vellum stamps over it, and added some machine stitching to adhere it to the page.  I printed my journaling onto a label and added it to the bottom of the layout.  For the final finishing touch, I added some stamping around the page using black ink and some clear stamps from my stash.

Thank you for joining me today!  I can't wait to see what you create using the cut files and digital stamps from The Cut Shoppe!

So Sweet | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Cut Shoppe friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a super fun layout using the awesome NEW Fair Fun cut file!

As soon as I saw the Fair Fun cut file I just knew it had to be paired with some of my leftover Carousel collection from Crate Paper.
Fair Fun

I went ahead and started backing the design with different patterned papers as well as some vellum to give the illusion of being able to see through the Ferris Wheel. I then used one of the Ferris Wheel transparent embellishments for the centre and popped the whole cut file up using some craft foam.

To enhance each of the carriages, I added a star embellishment to draw attention to them. My photo is of my sons at Luna Park here in Sydney, Australia. They both had never eaten Fairy Floss (cotton candy) before so they absolutely loved how huge these were! The pom pom embellishments from this collection reminded me of the fluffiness of it haha!
This cut file is suited to any kind of theme, not just a fair! You could use it for a girl or boy page, travelling...just about anything! I love how it can be layered over and still give a great effect. You could even try adding embellishments underneath the vellum for a different effect!

Make sure to check out The Cut Shoppe store for all the awesome new cut files as well as all the other awesome ones! You will definitely find something in store to suit your next project!

Happy creating!

NEW CUT FILES | Weekend Getaway

Hi everyone!  It's NEW Cut File day, and I'm still over here scrapping summer photos!  I like to scrap photos from the current season, and we have so many cut files that are perfect for summer projects.  There are four great Cut Files that have been added to The Cut Shoppe store, and some will work great for summer projects and some will work great for everyday projects.  I used the NEW Photo Album Cut File...which is great for everyday projects...but I paired it with my summer photos!

https://thecutshoppe.com.co/collections/new-designs/products/photo-album

I went into my Crate Paper stash for this layout and pulled out the Oasis collection.  I still have a ton of it, and I thought it would be fun with this Cut File.  I cut the Photo Album Cut File from one of the patterned papers.  I typically use white cardstock for my Cut Files, but I thought I would change it up for this layout.  Once the Cut File was finished cutting, I backed it with different papers from the Oasis 6x6 paper pad, and placed it on a white cardstock background.

It's been a really long time since I've used 5 photos on a layout...I rarely even do 2 photos on one layout these days.  But I decided to go with 5 for this layout.  I had some fun beach photos and since there are five of us, it worked out to use a photo in each of the frames.  I changed my photos to black & white, because I wanted the look to be consistent and I always love the graphic look of black & white.  I didn't change the original size of the Cut File, so my photos are sized to around 1.75x1.75 to fit inside the frames.

When I got ready to embellish, I chose some of the gold embellishments from the collection.  I love the look of the gold embellishments, but they are always a BIG pain to photograph!!  This time, I tried photographing my layout inside, under my light stands and with some magical editing in PhotoShop, it turned out okay.  I also wanted to bring in some more black to the layout, to complement the photos.   I chose 3 black phrases from the chipboard sheet and sticker sheet to complete the layout.

Make sure you visit The Cut Shoppe store to pick up the Photo Album Cut File!  You can use it in so many different ways and on multiple projects.  And while you're there, make sure you check out all of the other designs that are available today!
