Scrapbook Circle & The Cut Shoppe Team Up Day 4!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 4 of our Team Up with the Scrapbook Circle Design Team!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing what all of the Design Team members from both Teams have created this week with the June Kit from Scrapbook Circle and cut files from The Cut Shoppe!  And we've still got one more day of inspiration coming up tomorrow!  Today it's my turn, and I've got two layouts to share with you!

Road Trip:

I wanted to make a big impact on this layout, using the patterned papers from the Scrapbook Circle June Kit and a large cut file.  I used the Crop feature in Silhouette Studio, to create the shaped letters, inside the US map, and then backed each one with different papers from the Kit.  Before I adhered the die cut map from the On the Road cut file to my background, I cut the This Way cut file from White cardstock and placed a few patterned papers behind it and then layered the die cut background over a second sheet of White cardstock.

I've got a new Process Video to share with you for this layout, if you would like to check out how I cropped the letters to create the negative effect on the On the Road cut file!

Hello Ohio:

I really loved the travel papers and embellishments included in the Scrapbook Circle June Kit, so I decided to go for a travel theme on both of my layouts.  I wanted to go for a darker background on this layout, so I used the back side of the Latitude patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Atlas collection.  I enlarged the compass from the Happy Camper cut file set, and backed each of the open sections with various patterned papers from the Kit.  Then I cut the word Ohio from the All Tied Up Alpha cut file set, and arranged it around the circle shape of the compass.

I had so much fun creating with the June Kit from Scrapbook Circle!  And you've got a chance to win a June Kit for yourself!!  Just make sure you comment on each of the Design Team posts this week, and one random winner will be chosen!  You can also win a $20 Gift Certificate to The Cut Shoppe, by commenting on the Scrapbook Circle Design Team Blogs!
