Reach for the Stars and you will fly!

Hi

My next layout that I have to share with you, I have used one of the files from our recent blog hop called A Walk in the Clouds. Which I absolutely fell in love with and couldn't wait to use on one of my own layouts.

Often I love cut files but think how could I use it on my layout where it fits in with the overall theme or idea I am trying to portray.  In this instance, I used the clouds as a reference to the sky and my sentiment of reaching for the stars and how you can achieve amazing things if you put your mind to it.

Close ups:

Hope I have inspired you to think about the different ways you can use The Cut Shoppe cut files to support the particular feel or theme of your layouts!

Take care

Crazy Love

Hi everyone, Amy here to share a layout with you that I created using some printables and cut files from The Cut Shoppe.  I love Ashley's new printables, and couldn't wait to use the Let Love In on my layout.

I also used The Borderlines cut file (as an embellishment).

My title is from the So In Love cut file.

Here's my layout.

Here are the printables up close.

And The Borderlines cut file.  I backed it with Gold.

Book Nerd

Hi everyone, Annelie here with a new LO to share!

I've wanted to scrap this photo of my book crazy girl, and the cut file "The Page Turner" had the perfect title for my LO; BOOK NERD!

True to my addiction, I did use a cut file as a stencil first though, using modelling paste I used the very cool file "The Plus Infinity", but I cut it out in 8.5x11".

Last but not least, I used the gorgeous heart border cut from "The Borderline Too" on my page.

What cut files are you using lately? And how?

Botanical Gardens & New Cut Files!

I love stopping in every week to share a new layout with you, using the cut files sets that have been added to The Cut Shoppe!  Today, we have five new sets in the Shop, so make sure you stop by to check them out!  The layout I created today, uses the Funky Florals cut file.  I used two of the flower icons from this set, for my layout.

I cut the two larger flowers from White cardstock, and then backed them with a circle, that I cut from two different patterned papers.  I wanted to leave the smaller flowers un-backed.  I cut them in three different sizes and added an enamel dot to the center of each one, for an added touch of color!

You can find the Funky Florals cut file, HERE, in the Shop today!!

Here We Go...

Hi everyone,
It's Gina here today and I  have a new layout to share today using a fun mix of cut files and printables.

Snap Layout

supplies: The Cut Shoppe Printables, All Around Arrows cut file; American Crafts: Amy Tangerine pattern papers

I used the all around arrows cut files and cut a repeated arrow out of different pieces of pattern paper.  I then printed off the picture this printables, and used a circle punch to cut out the 'snap' and 'pose smile repeat' words.  I finished off my layout by adding some stitching, journaling, tab and banner.

Photo Bomb!! (a tutorial)

Good Morning!!

Sarah here to show you a layout I made using the Captured on Camera cut file as a background!

To do this I released the compound path by right clicking on the selected file and selecting "release compound path", and chose the files I wanted to use.

Once I had deleted the images I didn't want to cut, I removed the outline of the three phrases I wanted to use (that will make is so it leaves the words as a part of the paper once it's cut and doesn't cut the whole thing out.), then I grouped each individual image back together by right clicking on them and selecting the "group" option. This will keep all the lines together in the cut file so when you move it, it's all one shape still!

After that, it's just a matter of moving the phrases where you want them to be on your layout! I love the Cameo because it's a 12x12 cutting area so I know that the way I've arranged my files on the screen is exactly how it's going to cut!

Once I cut it, I backed it with some fun bright summery paper from Webster's Pages and went around the words with a black pen to make them stand out even more!

Here's some close ups:

This is the cut file I used on this layout. So in love with it! ;)
