Hey everyone, Amy here to share a layout I created using the spin cycle cut file. I am pretty sure it's my new favorite cut file EVER! I love that it allows me to use plenty of fun patterns and embellishments on my page. I was able to use up most of my September kit from Paper Camellia along with some fun bits from Chic Tags new Storyteller line.

Kindergarten Kid

Hi everyone!  This week has gone by so fast, due to the Labor Day holiday and it's already time to share new Cut Files, that are available today in The Cut Shoppe!  I decided to use the Star Gazing 12x12 background cut file on my layout today, and the Makin' the Grade 1 cut file for my title.

I kept the design of my layout fairly simple and clustered and layered near my photo, so the Star Gazing background would stand out on my layout.  The Makin' the Grade cut file sets are perfect for your Back to School layouts.  I added in a pop of color to my layout, by cutting the Kindergarten phrase from a dark Red patterned paper from Echo Park.  You can find the Star Gazing background cut file in the store today, as well as new cut files and a new Printable.  And check out all of the other cut file designs and Printables, while you're there!!

Hi everyone, Amy here to share a layout with you that I created using some printables and cut files from The Cut Shoppe.  I love Ashley's new printables, and couldn't wait to use the Let Love In on my layout.

I also used The Borderlines cut file (as an embellishment).

School Days & New Cut Files!

It's that time again...time for new Cut File sets in The Cut Shoppe!  This week, there is a mix of cut files, but also a few that will get you ready for Back to School!  If you're still waiting to scrap last year's school photos or maybe school photos from several years ago, then these would be great for your pages!  

I used one of the new cut files, Alphabet Soup, on my layout for today.  We homeschool our kids, but I still like to take their photo every year, and had not gotten a chance to scrap last year's photo of the girls.  

I wanted the Alphabet Soup background cut file, to stand out on my layout, so I created two clusters, one with my photo and title and a smaller embellishment cluster with the year the photo was taken.  This design approach, allowed me to use the cut file, without covering a lot of it.  I used the School House collection from Chic Tags and some papers from the Heidi Swapp Serendipity collection.  Once the background was finished cutting, I backed some of the alphas with patterned paper and used some of the stickers from the Chic Tags School House sticker sheet to coordinate with the alpha, from the first word on each sticker!

You could find a lot of different ways to use this cut file on your back to school layouts or even your everyday pages!  Design Team member Annelie Maddock has another take on the cut file, coming to the Blog soon, with a totally different look to her page!

Love You & Me

It's Thursday and that means new cut files have been added to The Cut Shoppe, and I have a new layout to share with you!  This week I used the Lots of Love background cut file, and instead of cutting the background, I used my sketch pens to create a fun look for my page.

I used the Sketch Pens to draw the Love background, and once it was finished, I cut several of the words from patterned paper and adhered them in place of the written words.  You could do a lot of different things with this cut file, and I think I will definitely be using it on more layouts!!
