I created a layout with the Under The Tree cut file.  You can never have too many Christmas tree cut files!  I mixed all three of the tree designs on my layout.

I always love cut files that can be backed with patterned paper.  It's an easy way to add more interest to your project.  But I also love the contrast of the solid trees too.  I gave them that extra "tree look" by using brown and green papers from the FaLaLa collection by Crate Paper.

We hope you enjoy working with these FREE Cut File sets!  If you're looking for more Christmas designs, you can head over to The Cut Shoppe Etsy store and check out our Holidays section.

"Autumn" by Jill

Hello!  I hope you all had a delicious and peaceful Thanksgiving!  I'm still in a Fall mood, even though Winter is coming sooner than I would like, so I'm using up all my Fall products and living in denial that Christmas is less than a month away.

This layout is a tribute to the gorgeous tree and all of it's beautiful leaves in our backyard.  I wanted to use the lovely Vintage Wallpaper cut file from The Cut Shoppe mixed with the perfect papers from a Fall kit I received a while back.  I started by sizing the file as large as I could on my 12x12 mat, then cut it from a goldenrod solid paper.

Next, I cut the file again from a pale pink, removing the most interior cut lines so I could back the starburst center.

The last step was to remove all interior cut lines and cut the file again with the black floral paper.

I used tissue paper and a few torn patterned papers behind the photo of my daughter's playhouse, then added cork and die cut embellishments plus a flair badge below the title.

I know the Vintage Quilt cut file will be used again and again on my scrapbook pages, and want to try and size it so I can put it in a Traveler's Notebook spread.  The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for stopping by The Cut Shoppe blog today!  Happy Creating!

DIY Christmas Gift Tags | Elsie Robinson

Hey TCS fans, it's Elsie back on the blog today with a crazy amount of gift tags to share with you... 30+ to be precise!

My Mum works in a Primary School and requested that I make some pretty gift tags that she could attach to the Christmas presents she will give to the children in her class. Being able to use my cameo for a project like this was perfect because it really sped up the process and I could use some pretty TCS files!

I used the tag from The Winter Weather cut file, but deleted the text and image so I had just the outline of the tag to work with.

I decided to create tags with six different designs which I pulled from other cut file sets, and I deliberately chose images that were not too detailed and would work as a solid image.

I used:

After creating my tag designs I arranged as many as I could onto one 12x12 piece of paper, I ended up with being able to cut 15 on page which made the cutting process really quick!

These tags are a really great way to use up some scraps as I only needed a 2x3" piece of paper to back each image. My initial plan was to create some shaker tags and fill them with sequins, but I think making 30+ of those would've been a bit of a nightmare! But it is something I will definitely use create for the gifts I give to my friends and family.

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Adventure Awaits with Jennifer

Hello everyone,

this is Jennifer with a new project for The Cut Shoppe!

This layout took a while to put together - somehow every single one of my chosen products refused to cooperate. But I beat them into submission in the end. ;)

For this layout I combined The X File 12x12 cutfile and the Around & Around cutfile.

I stayed monochromatic with both cutfiles and background - I used black cardstock for the background, white cardstock for Around & Around and black and white striped patterned paper for The X File.

I backed the Around & Around circles with colorful paper. The other cutfile I used only partially because the stripes made it quite busy.

Here and there I added a few extra X File circles to the background. Together with the other circles it created a diagonal design.

I kept both my patterned paper and embellishments bright and colorful to counteract the dark background. I makes the layout bright and cheerful despite the stark black.

For my title I combined a big chipboard word with some alpha stickers. I used the packaging technique on the chipboard word to combine three of my main colors: yellow, pink and turquoise.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

xoxo

LO "Awesome, sweet, best" with Anna

Hello cut file fans. It's Anna here with my newest page created with The Cut Shoppe designs. I am still not giving up with colors and mood :) so I made another colorful page.

This time I was inspired by "Let them eat pie" cut file set. I thought they will look great backed with colorful papers.

I placed the picture in the middle of the pie chart and added embellishments around it. Cutting eight words using "A way with words" set was also a great idea.

I painted them using watercolors using colors that matched my pie chart. I also painted my background creating truly rainbow design.

I really love how it turned out. Rainbow designs are my thing for sure :) I also have a process video for this page, if you would like to follow my process:

Those are the cut files I used:

That is all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you in December.

Thanksgiving Cards with Enza

Happy Thanksgiving week! I can't believe it's already here!

For today's post, I have decided to create a set of cards that are perfect for this time of the year. I used two new cut files included in the Thanks And Giving set, as well as some leaves from the Autumn Acres set.

The first card is very simple. I backed the beautiful Give Thanks design with several patterned papers from the Heart of Home collection. I didn't add much around it, other than the cluster in the left lower corner, as I didn't want to take away from the elegant cut file. I just made the cluster a little bit fuller with some leaves from the Autumn Acres cut file set and fussy cut roses.

The second card allowed me to incorporate lots of patterned papers from the same collection. I love cut files like this one. They are versatile and fun.

I used foam dots to adhere it down for added dimension and embellished it with some fussy cut daisies and enamel dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will feel inspired to create a set of Thanksgiving cards with the new Thanks And Giving cut file set.
