Farm Fresh- Audrey Yeager

Hello everyone!  I am still plugging along with my Christmas pages.  There are just so many great holiday cut files in the store!  I used two on this page below; "Farm Fresh Trees" and "Branches and Boughs".

Branches & Boughs

Farm Fresh Christmas

I began with some woodgrain background paper and added some white gesso and mixed media shades in grey and brown.  I cut the trees from the "Farm Fresh" file from patterned paper, and one of the trees from the "Branches and Boughs" from a dark green cardstock. I centered my photo and scattered the trees around it.

I fussy cut out a few flowers and animals with red accents to add a pop of color. Finally, a few wood veneer starts an embellishments to go with the theme!

For the title, I again used the Farm Fresh file and cut it from brown cardstock and a mint colored patterned paper.

Thanks so much for looking!

Wrapping All The Way | Kylie Kingham.

Hello lovely friends! It's Kylie back with you today and I have a brand new layout to share with you all. The festive season is fast approaching so I couldn't resist creating with the 'Wrapping All The Way' cut file now available on The Cut Shoppe website. It is one of four new releases in store this week!

I chose to work with the 'Mistletoe Kisses' collection by Kaisercraft for my layout and went with a white background so the colours would really pop. Using a star stencil, I have added a little gold texture paste to my background as well.Three of my favourite paper designs were then selected to back the text of my cut file and the bow was backed with the same paper as my border.

Adhesive foam tape was added to the back of my cut file before adding it to my background. By doing so adds a little dimension and height to my completed design.

To complete the balance of my layout I have added some die cuts to the base of my cut file. My photo was backed with co-ordinating card stock before being adhered to the bow.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope my layout has given you a little inspiration for your own Holiday creating. Don't forget you will find this cut file, as well as many more via The Cut Shoppe website.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

A World of Octobers - Audrey Yeager

Hello everyone!  I am excited to share this fall themed page with you with this adorable cut file called "World of Octobers".

World of Octobers

I began by cutting most of the title from white cardstock, but separating out the word "October" and the leaf and cutting those separaetly.  I covered the background with white gesso and then went over the page with some mixed media sprays.

After that was day, I backed each letter with a different colored patterned paper.

I fussy cut some leaves from other patterned paper, and matted my photos.

I cut the title from a deep purple cardstock, added a few sequins and other stickers, and I was finished!

You can see the entire process in the video below!  Thanks for watching!

Extra Ordinary | Kylie Kingham.

Hi friends! It's Kylie back with you all today to share a new layout for The Cut Shoppe I have been working on. I fell in love with the 'Extra Ordinary' cut file from the store and couldn't resist using it for a male themed layout. I have worked with the Kaisercraft 'Workshop' collection which was a perfect match for my theme.

I decided to work on a white background for my layout but did add a lovely navy toned border. Using my sewing machine I added a stitched border which gave a lovely texture to the edge. With a stamp from my craft stash I have also added some 'paint stripes' to my background with a denim blue ink.

Once I had cut out my cut file, I used several papers to back it. I chose a dark steel grey paper to back the title so that it really stood out from my background.

Once I completed backing my cut file I added some foam adhesive to the back of it before adhering in place. This was so it sits up from the background of my layout for height and dimension. With my photos in place I also added a few die cuts from the 'Workshop' collection.

To finish I also added a small sub title phrase to the lower right hand side. This also gave a nice finishing balance to my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest design.

Summer is Coming | Iris Fox

Hello scrappy friends, Iris here to share 9x12 layout using the recently released "Summer is Coming" cut file.

I'm not usually a summer fan, so how perfect for me is this cut file that riffs off of the Game of Thrones warning?!  I decided I could use it to make a summer bucket list of some of the things I'm actually looking forward to this summer!

I started off by sizing the cut file to 5 inches wide and cutting my photos into circles. The smaller ones that are images of show posters I cut at 1.5 inches and 2 inches. The 2 family photos are 3 inches. After deciding where they would go, I lightly marked their place with pencil, then used liquid watercolors by Avery Elle to draw colorful circles around the perimeters. On top of those I added coordinating sentiments by curving the stamps on the acrylic block and stamping them all around the circles.

I embellished with circular die-cuts and puffy stickers.

For the title, I backed it with a printed acetate piece from Pretty Little Studio. Originally my thought was to have some mixed media under the acetate, but when I backed it, I liked the clean look. Under the title I did more stamping and added this year in tile stickers.

I printed a list of each activity and added the corresponding number to each photo.  For more color, I added patterned paper borders at the top and bottom, and stapled more embellishment at the seams to tie them together.

I'm so glad I was inspired to document things I'm looking forward to this summer as a form of gratitude thanks to The Cut Shoppe's "Summer is Coming" cut file!

XOXO With Love | Amanda Baldwin

Hi TCS Friends!

Welcome back for digital cut file inspiration!
Amanda here, & today I'm sharing a Happy Heart Day themed layout featuring the awesome With Love file!

"XOXO"

Sigh!!!!
All.the.heart.eyes for these two darlings!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
And the best part?
The With Love file is a FREE one! Yessss!
Love me a freebie!
Here's a closer look at the file.....

Download your Freebie FriYAY With Love cut file HERE.
Let's take a closer look at all this Valentine's sweetness......

I cut the With Love file in a pretty watermelon red cardstock, then back it with pattern papers from Crate Paper's Main Squeeze collection. Using my Fine Liner, I glue the back of the cut file - but only along the outline of the large heart. I attach it to my big photograph, and once dry, I fold all the connecting smaller hearts (a bit like butterfly wings) & then fussy cut the excess photo away.
The result is simply stunning!!!
The large black and white photo is so striking against all that pink & red!
& I just love the texture and dimension the folded hearts create!

For added interest, I create a light layer of mixed media to mount the With Love file & photograph onto. I've used Shimmerz Paints Vibez in Sweetheart & Razzeldazzel Berry around the edge of where the heart  will be positioned. So many pretty splatters and droplets!

I use the glossy black Main Squeeze 6 x 12 Puffy Phrase Stickers for my title, & subtitles. The remainder of my layout is lots of embellishing with an assortment of puffy hearts, heart stickers, glitter hearts and even sequins!

Simple, sweet & a perfect cut file for any of your Heart Day projects!
I hope I've inspired you today!

Thanks so much for visiting,
Hope you all have a very Happy Heart Day on the 14th!

Fresh Squeezed Summer Layout | Amanda Baldwin

Hi TCS Friends!

Amanda here, and at the moment it's Summer break in my part of the world!
Think balmy sunsets at the beach and sipping ice cold lemonade! My favorite time of year!
For today's layout I am sharing a lil Summer sunshine & warmth with the Fresh Squeezed Digital Cut File....

"Summer Days"

Whoa, talk about a burst of sunshine!
This layout is a pop of bright, fun colors and just screams all things Summer! Yay!

How totally awesome is the Fresh Squeezed cut file?!
It comes in 2 sizes in the one download too (12 x 12" & 8.5 x 11")! Ideal for all your paper crafting needs!
For today's layout I have cut mine in the 8.5 x 11" size.
Here's a closer look at it.....

Love it! You can get the Fresh Squeezed file from The Cut Shoppe HERE

For this layout, the Fresh Squeezed file was cut in white cardstock, which I hand colored with Shimmerz Paints. I actually used three shades of yellow paint: Spritz: Chick-a-Dee, Vibez: Sunset Strip & Coloringz: Lil' Yellow Skool Bus. These colors coordinate & blend together beautifully - they really make the Freshly Squeezed cut file 'pop'!

Instead of backing the lemons with pattern papers, I choose to support the file with a messy, mixed media base. I paint a layer of white gesso, and while it's still wet I add a very watery layer of peachy pink watercolor paint. This creates subtle color for beneath the cut file. I also add lots of pretty paint splatters and droplets in the yellows which I sprayed my cut file with, as well as Shimmerz: Royal Red & Bubblegum Blast too! Messy never looked so pretty!

I use Echo Park's Good Day Sunshine collection for my layout, as the colors in this collection compliment my photo beautifully (& there may just be a lemon ephemera or two in this line too!)
Here's a few close ups for you.....

So happy together, indeed! Summer break is the BEST!!!
I embellish the cut file with a mix of die cut ephemera, cardstock stickers, chipboard stickers and lots of enamel dots!

Such a bright & fun page!
The Fresh Squeezed cut file is perfect for documenting our Summer memories with!
I hope you feel inspired by my creating today, & that my page brings some warmth to my Northern Hemisphere friends :)
