Bon Apetit!

Hi Everyone,

It's Gina here today to share a new layout with you using the Get To The Point 12x12 cut file!

To create my layout, I cut the background out of white cardstock paper.  I then placed the yellow patterned paper behind it.  I printed a small instagram photo and layered it on top of tabs and tags.  I splattered black ink across the page and then embellished with lots of bits and pieces.

Supplies: Elle's Studio: Let's Eat Collection: Patterned paper, bits and pieces, cutouts, tags, wood veneers; American Crafts: White cardstock; Studio Calico: Mister Huey's Inky Black; The Cut Shoppe: Get To The Point 12x12 cut file

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your day!

Totally Seriously Summer Fun!

Hi Everyone,
It's Gina here, and I would like to share with you a recent layout that I made using the new Sideways Chevron 12x12 cut file.

I cut my 12x12 Sideways Chevron Background out of white cardstock paper.  Not all of the cuts, cut all the way through.  This is because I need a new blade, but I loved the look.  I decided to leave a lot of the pieces that did not cut all the way through on this page, to give it a sense of white balance.  I popped out a few pieces and then layered a piece of Finder's Keepers Patterned Paper behind it.  I then printed my small photo and added embellishments, stitching, stamping and the title.

This layout came together quickly, and I love the look.  Here is the background cut file that I used:

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my layout.  If you make a layout using cut files from the shop, we would love for you to share it with us on our Facebook Page!

Be Awesome

Hello!  I have a simple and fun layout to share with you today using the Trippy Triangles cut file and the Words To Live By cut file!  As soon as I saw the new Happy Things collection from Pinkfresh Studio, I knew I just had to use it along with the Trippy Triangles background!

How To:  I arranged a couple of triangles from the Trippy Triangles cut file and the "Be Awesome" title onto my workspace in Silhouette Studio and cut them out of 12x12 white cardstock.  After my cut was complete I adhered patterned paper to the backside of "awesome" and my triangle cuts.
I then printed a 4x6 photo and placed it behind the "Be" word.  I used a needle and black thread to hand stitch around my cut out triangles.  I then adhered acrylic triangle pieces (from the collection) and a couple of hand cut triangles around my design.  I flicked black spray mist across my page, and finished by adhering wood veneer pieces and puffy stickers.

I hope that you are inspired by my page today, and try to create your own triangular background, I'm sure it would be awesome!!

Hello Summer Love

Hi everyone!  It's Gina here and I have a new layout to share with you today using the free Newsletter (Summer Love) cut file and the Bitty Borders cut file

Here's my layout:

I'm in love with that Summer Love cut file.  I knew right away when I saw it, that I just had to use it right away.  To create my layout, I actually cut the Summer Summer Summer Love title twice.  The first cut was the full title and then I trimmed off the bottom (love) piece.  The second cut I only cut the word "Love" from white cardstock paper.  I then placed the "Summer Summer Summer" title right above the love cut piece.  I placed my photo behind the love word.   To add color to my page I added watercolors on two of the Summer words and behind the title, before adhering down.

The small circular hearts are from the Bitty Borders cut file, I simply ungrouped them and then cut them out individually and added watercolors to them.  To finish off my layout I added black spray mist, wood veneer pieces and machine stitching.

Summer Love

I hope this post has inspired you to try watercolors on a layout. It really adds a lot of color and interest!  Have a great day!

Today, we have layouts created by Gina and Stephanie!  So let's take a look at what they created!

Friends by Gina Lideros:

Gina says:  I wanted to use one of the cut files, as a stitching template.  I chose the Happy Circles cut file, which is one of the Free Cut Files, that go out in the weekly Newsletter.  Once I finished stitching the design, I added some circles punched from patterned paper, to go along with the stamped phrases from the Scrap Circles stamp set in the Neat & Tangled Shop.

Be Awesome Be You by Stephanie Strader:

Stephanie says:  Thanks for joining us! Stephanie here sharing my BE Awesome layout with you!  I used the "You & Me" stamp set from Neat & Tangled mixed with the "Words to Live By" cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I kind of deconstructed the "Be Awesome, Be You" cut because I really wanted to make the letters large.  Lots of layering and a few bits and pieces here and there making for a clean layout that was fun to put together featuring two of my favorite brands!! I hope you find your inspiration with us this week! Thank you for stopping by!

In addition to all of the inspiration you'll be seeing this week, we'll also have some great giveaways and discounts!

We are giving away a $25 credit to the Neat & Tangled Shop!  All you need to do, is comment on each post this week.  We'll be choosing a random winner from all of the comments on The Cut Shoppe Blog this week.  Commenting will be open until Sunday, April 19th, and a winner will be announced on Monday, April 20th!

Love You Always

Hello everyone, it's Gina with you today.  I have been playing with the new Rosey Posey cut file and I just couldn't wait to share today's post with you!

To create my layout, first I dropped a few drops of yellow and pink spray mist against a white cardstock background.  Next, I cut the Rosey Posey cut file from white cardstock and adhered it to my layout.  I used a wide tipped foam brush and painted over it with watercolors to make the cut file stand out.  I also cut out the cloud and hearts from the Sweet Hearts cut file, painted over them with watercolors and adhered them to the right side of my layout.  I trimmed a strip of word patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine collection and added it to the top of my page. I finished by adding my title, die cuts, journaling and embellishments.

Supplies: The Cut Shoppe: Rosey Posey cut file, Sweet Hearts cut file; American Crafts: patterned paper, die cuts, thickers, paper clip and stamp; Other: watercolors

Hello Cute

Good morning,

It's Gina here, and I'm stopping in today to share a layout using the fun Let Them Eat Pie cut file set!
I loved this cut file set the instant that I saw it, and knew that I just couldn't wait to use it on a layout.

How to:  Splash watercolors, spray inks and white paint across a white cardstock background, set aside to dry.  Cut pie chart design from white cardstock paper (I cut it four times).  Cut pieces of various patterned papers and adhere behind pie chart die cuts (I intentionally left some spaces open).  Cut 4 small hearts from patterned paper.  Adhere pie chart pieces, hearts, thickers, die cuts and stickers to background paper.   Finish by adding word stamp, photo, wood veneer pieces and loose thread.

You & Me

Hello and Happy Friday!  Gina here with you today and I have a layout using the brand new Sweet Hearts and Love Letters cut files!  I loved taking one of the hearts from the Sweet Hearts set and enlarging it to use on my layout.

To create my layout, I began by painting watercolors on a white cardstock background.  I also flicked white paint and gold spray mist across the page.  Next, I enlarged my heart and cut it out of white cardstock.  I backed a few of the open spaces with patterned papers.  Next, I cut out my title a small heart and a few + signs and added them to my page.  I added my photo and a few cardstock embellishments, thread and buttons.

Supplies: Sweet Hearts cut file, Love Letters cut file: The Cut Shoppe; cardstock, patterned papers, stickers : American Crafts; Other: paint, watercolors, spray mist
