Much Love layout - Lisa Fonseca

Hey friends,

it's Lisa back on the blog and today I'm sharing this cute heart layout.

For this layout, I used the MUCH LOVE cutfile. When I saw it, I immediately knew I wanted to use it. :) You can find it on the CUTSHOPPE website.

Much Love

Since it's been a while that I had used the Oh my heart collection by Pink Paislee, I wanted to use it and thought it would be the perfect match for this cutfile.

This layout went through some stages... haha! First, as you can see inside of the heart between the letters, I used a patterned paper and put gesso in the center of it to brighten it up a bit. I used the blue patterned paper as a frame.

I cut out the cutfile from some white paper and used different patterned papers from the collection for each letter. I adhered the white frame of the cutfile to the background and stitched around the heart a few times in a messy way. I love how that looks.

I then used foam squares to adhere the letters to make them pop and give dimension to the layout. When I was done, I decorated the layout a bit and laid it to the side, thinking I was done. But no... I didn't like it with that background... :)

So the next day, I took off all of the embellishments and letters, cut out the heart, ripped the background paper off the blue frame and tried something else. I adhered a very light pink cardstock sheet to my blue frame and adhered the heart to it.

I did the stitching part again and added all of the colorful letters. Then I added the picture that I had matted on some scraps of paper and the flowers that I had fussy cut from different patterned papers. I went trough some embellishments and added some enamel dots, a yellow button and a wood button to the centers of the flowers. I also added a cute cat sticker, some word stickers and as a subtitle, I used some white foam words from an older Amy Tangerine (I think...) collection.

I added some white splatters all around and scribbly lines around the borders.
I hope you like how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you soon!!

Happy | Tarrah McLean

Hi everyone!

It's Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a fun new layout using the awesome and VERY popular Photo Album cut file!

I cut the cut file design out of some pale pink patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine 'Oh Happy Life' collection and then chose 5 other papers to back the frames with. I added 5 selfie photos of myself from some places that I have traveled to. Travelling is another of my passions!

Photo Album

The photography elements like the camera from this collection were perfect to match with the Photo Album cut file I love how everything ties in well and co-ordinates. This cut file is awesome to use for multi photo layouts!

Once the frames were backed I added my photos to the centres making sure to put back the middle of the frame also. I then stuck the entire cut file to plain white textured cardstock and went ahead and started embellishing.

I added 2 of the cute rubber charms from the Oh Happy Life collection, plus also tucked in 2 of the floral pieces from the die-cut pack. My title is 'Happy' also from the die-cut pack and its popped up with foam dots to make it stand out a little. I also added some of the cute clear stickers, enamel hearts, skinny washi tape and a flair button from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by The Cut Shoppe blog today! Check out The Cut Shoppe store for this cut file plus so many more amazing designs too!

Happy creating!

School Carnival | Kelly Janes

Hi friends! Kelly here with a new 12x12 layout using the All Heart Cut File!

I started in Cricut Design Space by sizing the cut file to 11.5 inches. I then "sliced" out the two inner circles of hearts. I then converted the remaining hearts to "write" so the hearts would be drawn on my 12x12 white cardstock.

After the hearts were drawn, I used a paper piercer and poked holes along the hearts. I then took embroidery floss in multiple colors and stitched the hearts in a string art fashion. After the hearts were stitched, I added my photo in the center of the layout. I added my title using black alpha stickers and I love the stark contrast between the rainbow hearts and the black letters.

I wanted the hearts to be the focus of the layout so I added very few embellishments. I felt all the layout needed was a couple flower die cuts and stickers next to the photo.

Thank you so much for joining me today and remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files!

Hello There | Kelly Janes

Hey friends! Kelly here today to share a new layout using the All the Angles Cut File.

I cut the cut file on white cardstock and then backed the open areas with a bright and bold patterned paper. This is one of the things I love about a background cut file...It's the perfect way to use up some of those bold patterned papers we have in our stash!

After I had the cut file backed, I added machine stitching around the cut file. I then moved onto embellishing. I used a majority of fussy cut flowers along with a couple die cuts and a few stickers for added pops of color.

Background cut files are some of my absolute faves! There are so many great options in The Cut Shoppe Store so be sure to check it out!

younique | orange gearle

Hi!  Orange Gearle here with a fun layout today using one of our newest cut files in The Cut Shoppe called Pretty as a Peacock.

Here's a look a the cut file:

I cut the file using white card stock.  Then, in the Silhouette software I did a "release compound path" witch allowed me to move the pieces around or delete portions of the file.  I did a second cut but this time I only cut the inside of the feathers, and I used two different pattern papers. I glued the inside feathers right down to the background paper, but I used foam to pop up the white card stock.

The inside of the feathers are my favorite part.....except I also really like the body of the peacock!!!

Who know I would use that peacock paper?  It was perfect for his body don't you think??

I added a few phrase stickers from Tim Holtz that talk about being beautiful, different, and creative.  Unique. 😀

I bit of tangled thread placed for extra pops of color and called it done!  I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

hey guys? | orange gearle

Hi! Orange Gearle here with a layout using the pretty Flower Power 12x12 background cut file. This is a photo of my daughter in the hotel swimming pool -- one of her favorite things ever.  And my story is all about her obsession. Here is a look at the layout:

Here is the cut file:

For this layout I am using mostly items from Amy Tangerine's Sunshine & Good Times collection (from a while ago)!  I love it when I get to use up some of my stash.   I actually used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the file twice -- once I cut it as is for the white card stock. Then I used my Silhouette software to take out all of the middle parts so it would just cut the outside of the flowers -- this made it super easy to back it! Here's are a few close ups:

I started out with a white card stock background. I thought I might put some mixed media behind the area where the photos is --- and then I got carried away. :-)  I ended up with a full mixed media background behind the files. I used some foam to pop the whole cut file.

I fussy cut some butterflies and added some flair and tangled thread for the win! I also made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!

unforgettable you | orange gearle

Hi!  Orange Gearle here with a layout using an older photo of my daughter. Was she really that little?? Here is my layout:

I cut out The Untamed Heart cut file using my Silhouette Cameo and some white card stock. Here is a look at the cut file:

I grabbed my November Clique Kit and got busy backing the cut file with papers from Amy Tangerine's Shine On 6x6 paper pad included in the kit.

For my title I used a card that says, "Unforgettable" above the photo, and a tag below my photo houses the word "you".

I typed my journaling and added it beside the photo. I also used some of the AT phrase stickers for a few more sentiments under my photo.

I added some clusters of hearts around the edges -- where the cut file stops and the white card stock starts -- all the hearts on this one! 😍 Then some stitching and tangled thread to finish it off!  I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

you are my sunshine | orange gearle

Hi! Orange Gearle here with a layout using the Heart Breaker cut file from The Cut Shoppe. Here is my layout:

This is a great cut file -- and it happens to be free (and available here)!

So my goal with this layout was to create something that was feminine and pretty -- contrasting the photo of my daughter as BATMAN. I think it worked!

Because the cut file is so pretty and pretty big, I didn't really need to add too many things as far as embellishments. I stuck with mostly hearts and butterflies -- but I threw in a few fussy cut flowers for good measure.

My background paper and the fussy cut flowers are from Amy Tangerine. The ephemera and chipboard are from Maggie Holmes.

I made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!

Thanks so much for checking it out! See you again soon! XO o.g.
