2020 is a new year and I was reevaluating how I want to scrapbook this year. I've decided to make a transition into Project Life. I thought a great place to start my 2020 album was with the Start Here Cut File.
I sized the Start Here Cut File in Cricut Design Space to fit on a 4x6 card. I backed the cut file with a light pink patterned paper and adhered the cut file to a 4x6 piece of patterned paper. I added this card to the top left corner of my spread. I love that the "R" in the cut file is an arrow. It's automatically moves your eye down to the rest of the spread. Once that card was finished I was ready to move onto the rest.
I used multiple photos in my spread along with multiple cards from the Citrus Twist January Kit. I love that I can add puffy stickers and layers onto my cards/photos! I'm really happy with how this spread came together...especially since this is my first Project Life layout EVER!
Don't forget to head to The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the available products! I can honestly tell you that these products can be used on any project! I've used cut files for cards, 12x12 layouts, in my planner, and now Project Life! So fun!!! If you want to read more on my thoughts of why I made this change then you can head to my blog to read more about this change.

Be Mine | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 Valentine themed layout. It's been awhile since I've created a 12x12 layout because I've been loving creating in my planner for the past 6 months or so. But I loved this photo of my husband so much that I wanted to highlight it on a larger scale.
I started in Cricut Design Space by "slicing" apart the FREEBIE FRIYAY Listen to Your Heart Cut File. I used a very vibrant patterned paper for my background, so I backed each row of hearts with vellum to help the hearts stand out from the background.
I tucked my photo under one of the rows of hearts for additional interest, and I then added a few clusterings of embellishments to help your eye dance around the layout. This layout was very simple, but I the cut file, vellum and different types of embellishments (puffy embellishments, die cuts, stitching, etc) adds so much interest to the layout!
Remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the different cut files, classes and digital products!

Planner Spread with Free Cut Files | Kelly Janes
Using my Happy Planner as a Project Life album has totally become my jam! It's the only way I want to papercraft lately! I'm usually about a month behind so I'm currently finishing up my December spreads. I thought it would be fun to include some of the Free Cut Files that were available in December on my spread, but to use them as stickers.
My planner is already so full & growing thicker with each week. So, I thought it would be best to use the cut files as stickers because the sticker paper is so much thinner than cardstock.
I used the FREE Ugly Christmas Sweater Cut File, Candy Cane Lane Cut File & Elf Magic Cut File and converted the colors in Photoshop. I then fussy cut them out of clear sticker paper and added them around my planner in a visual triangle.
Now you can take a look at how this spread came together.
I love that cut files can be used in so many different ways and this is just another thing to add to the list! Remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files, digital stamps and classes!

Planner Love | Kelly Janes
Hey all! Kelly here again to share another Happy Planner spread with you using the Fall Favorites and Eat Beat Digital Stamps.
I am LOVING using my Classic Happy Planner as a way to document my everyday life. It's such an easy way to get a lot of photos and stories documented in a small album. It's really simplifying my approach to scrapbooking.
I used Photoshop to size and change the color of the digital stamps. (Ashley has a great tutorial on YouTube showing how you can easily do this.) I then printed the stamps on clear sticker paper and added the customized stickers to my planner with other stickers from Me and My Big Ideas.
I absolutely love how these stamps look as clear stickers. I also love that there are so many possibilities with the digital stamps (change the size, change the color, print on sticker paper, cardstock or directly on your photos). So much fun!!!

Using Digital Stamps as Clear Stickers | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! Kelly here to share a new way to use the Digital Stamps that are available in the Shop.
I've really been enjoying using a Happy Planner as a way to document our everyday moments. These photos usually get trapped on my phone because I don't know how I would document them on a 12x12 page. I thought it would be fun to use a few of the digital stamps as stickers on my spread!
I used the Day to Day Digital Stamp and the Fall Favorite Digital Stamps in Photoshop to change the colors to match the other stickers I would be using on the spread. Ashley has a great YouTube tutorial showing how this can easily be done!
I printed the stickers on clear sticker paper and fussy cut the images and added them to the spread. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out and will be doing this again VERY soon!

Give Thanks | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 layout using the Thanks & Giving Cut File!
Fall layouts are my absolute favorite layouts to make! I love the colors of the Fall leaves and the festivities of the season, but Thanksgiving isn't a holiday I typically scrapbook. Mainly because the photo quality isn't always the best (cramped house, poor indoor lighting, etc). I happened to snap this series of photo using my phone a couple years ago, and I love the progression of each picture! You can see the story just by the look on my nephew's expression! HA!
I started the layout by cutting the "giving thanks" portion of the Thanks & Giving Cut File. I made the cut file large and wanted to use it as a main focal image on the layout. My photos weren't the best quality so I converted them to black & white and printed them small. I nestled the photos within the title of the cut file and created embellishment clusters around the photos for extra pops of color.
There are so many fun designs in this cut file set and so many great cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store for all seasons and holidays! Be sure to check them out!

Together Falala | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Boughs of Holly Cut File (which was a freebie cut file from 2017).
I don't normally scrapbook out of season, but I've been feeling festive early with all of the December Daily goodness that is being posted lately. I used an older collection from Basic Grey to cut the cut file and then positioned the cut file on another patterned paper. The cut file was blending in a little too much on the background, so I added black hand-stitching around the entire cut file to help it pop.
I then moved onto embellishing. This Basic Grey collection is several years old, and I don't have any die cuts from the collection. I only have the chipboard and sticker sheet. Thankfully the new Pink Paislee Christmas Collection die cuts matched! I added all of those embellishments around the layout and my photo. I am so happy with how this turned out. It's very minimalistic, but I love all of the different textures and dimension!

Stay Golden | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new 12x12 Fall themed scrapbook layout using the Leaves are Falling Cut File.
I was actually intending on using the World of Octobers Cut File for my project today. But I stumbled on these letters that were left over from a previous project I created using the Leaves are Falling Cut File and a new idea popped in my head! I added hand stitching to each of the letters using white embroidery floss and positioned the letters at the top of the layout.
I've been LOVING using patterned papers as backgrounds lately, so I grabbed an ombre striped paper to use as the background and fussy cut a bunch of leaves from a different patterned paper from the Truly Grateful Collection.
I sprinkled those leaves down the layout and added just a few smaller embellishments in the mix of those leaves. I didn't want the journaling to distract from the colors on the layout so I added hidden journaling behind the photo. I used one of the fancy paper clips to help hold it in place.
This layout was so fun to put together and I'm SO glad that I saved those letters from my first project! It just shows the versatility of this cut file! Remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files, digital stamps and classes!

Happy Halloween | Kelly Janes
Hey friends! I'm so excited to be back for a new term with The Cut Shoppe! It's my favorite time of year and I have one of my favorite types of layouts to share with you today...a Halloween layout! YAY!
I used the Tangled Web Cut File on a project years ago and still had a large piece of it left over. When I was sorting through my Halloween supplies the cut file was laying on top of this Halloween themed patterned paper from Echo Park. I loved how it looked so the start of my layout was complete!
I added a little baker's twine to the layout in a few places on the cut file and then adhered it to the layout. I embellished the layout using die cuts, stickers, glitter chipboard shapes and anything Halloween themed I could find! HA!
Halloween layouts are so fun and I can't wait to make more! There are so many cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store (including great Halloween cut files!!), so be sure to visit to check out the cut files, digital stamps, classes and more!
