#Homemade

Good Morning!  Wendy here today sharing some cuteness with my two boys.  To highlight my cute picture I chose to use the Love Rules Freebie, Boys Rule, Foodgram, and Oodles of Doodles cut files.

I began my layout with the Love Rules Freebie which I cut from white cardstock and the pastel dot patterned paper.  To add in a splash of boyishness, I used the word Boys which was a leftover (I have a drawer with my leftover cuts.) from another layout using the Boys Rule cut file.  You will notice that I have made a visual triangle with the black to not only lead your eyes through the layout, but to add the boy feel to an otherwise feminine layout.

To bring out the blue in my boys (and again add in some boyishness)
I used the Foodgram cut file for the title HomeMade.

And my last step was to add some extra little touches to give the finishing touches to the layout.  I had these leafy branches cut in another color which didn't fit my layout, but since the backs were white I was able to flip them over and use them to dress up the blank spots.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you have been inspired to hold onto all those extra cuts you've made and create with them!  You can find all these files and many more at the Cut Shoppe etsy.

Let's Eat Today

Welcome to the Cut Shoppe blog, Wendy here today documenting our various food places we like to visit.  For my layout today, I used the Foodgram cut file and the Friends Forever cut file.

When I turn on my Cameo, I plan on cutting a few cut files at a time, my favorite paper to use is white cardstock.  I then keep the extra cuts I've made in a drawer so that I can pull out those special touches to make a page pop.  As I was cutting out some words for another layout I was using I happened to lay the extras on this blue Dear Lizzy paper with my photos and I knew I needed to keep going with the white words!  Don't you just love when inspiration hits?

Once laying out my words and fitting in my pictures I began to add some bold pops of color for interest, including the Today that is part of my title.

You can see I created a visual triangle with the green throughout the layout, which aids the viewers eye in taking in the whole layout.  Anyone else love WaWa???

A few more black pops and a donut in place of the letter o, gets the food story across just right!

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you are feeling inspired to go create your own background or play with some of the words available in the Cut Shoppe.  The Cut Shoppe etsy has such great cut files available, make sure you stop by today and doing a little shopping!

Fantastic Food

Hello!  It's Melissa back with you again!  I have another layout to share with you today, and I'm  featuring the new Foodgram cut file.  This time I decided to create my own background using two of the phrases of the cut file, because they were perfect for these photos of my youngest eating her "breaksie" - her adorable word for breakfast!

I used the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection, and backed my cut file with the paper that has three blocks of colour on it, such an easy and quick way to create my background!

This is the Foodgram cut file, and you can find it in the Etsy store here.

To make my background all I did was replicate the two words I wanted in Silhouette Studio, then positions them in two lines.  I copied the two lines and replicated them down the page until I was happy with how it looked.

I didn't have much journalling for this page, and all I had to say fit perfectly between two of the words.

I colour matched my embellishments to the background paper.  This is a close up of the mint.

The "fantastic" is from the chipboard sheet, and for the "food" I took one of the positive cuts and trimmed off the #.  I coloured it pink with my watercolours.

Thanks so much for looking!  Have an awesome rest of your weekend.
