Guest Designer | Virginia Greco

Hello, and happy Monday!  It's time to introduce you to our January Guest Designer, Virginia Greco!  We love seeing the projects Virginia shares on social media and couldn't wait to have her work with some of the cut files from The Cut Shoppe!  Before we see the layout that Virginia created, let's get to know a little bit more about her.

Hi, I am Virginia Greco, I am from Italy and I work in science (I am an engineer and physicist). Scrapbooking is my big passion! I love paper crafting in general, memory keeping, photography, design and… stationery.

My scrap-corner is my happy place, where I can let my creativity flow. Creating makes me feel happier and healthier. I enjoy making layouts (most of all), mini albums, TN spreads, planner spreads and greeting cards, as well as playing with different supplies and techniques.

In the last year, I have put lots of time and energies not only in creating, but also in sharing my projects in my blog (The Crafter Suitcase) and on my social media channels. If you like my style, please come over and meet me there as well.

We're so excited to share Virginia's layout with you!  She used the Home for Christmas cut file and Holly Jolly cut file. 

How fun is this layout!  We love the layering on Virginia's layout and the Mixed Media really makes the cut files pop!  And the embellishments she added give her layout a great whimsical look!

Home for the Holidays

Hello and Happy Holidays! As soon as I saw the Home for Christmas cut file, I knew it was perfect for doing a layout about our new home. Even the name of the cut file is perfect for me! I took a picture of the outside of our house just for the layout, I wanted to celebrate that we are in our first home this Christmas! And since we're "home for the holidays", I used the Good Tidings cut file for my title. 

I cut out the white houses, and backed the windows with paper from Lawn Fawn. I only put adhesive on a few of the houses so they would pop up a bit and add dimension. I kept the embellishing simple to keep the focus on the houses. And no layout of mine is complete without some splatters of mist!

The Cut Shoppe and Pinkfresh Studio Product Swap Day 5!

Hello! Jennifer here to wrap up our product swap with Pinkfresh Studio!  Our design team was lucky enough to work with their new Christmas line Christmas Wishes!  For my layouts, I used some of the new, fun cut files from The Cut Shoppe! 

For my first layout, I cut one of the sayings from the Deck The Halls file into my kraft cardstock background. I then backed it with patterned paper from Christmas Wishes. 

 I used different sizes of the cute snowflake shape from Very Merry to accent the border of my cardstock and patterned paper.  I then layered some of the cute embellishments from Christmas Wishes around my photo. 

For my second layout, I used the 12x12 version of the Home for Christmas Cut File for my background.  How cute are the little houses?  

For my title, I used the "Ho Ho Ho" from the Good Tidings cut file! I love all of the choices in this file!

I created a banner under my photos using many of the cute embellishments from Christmas Wishes!  I love the epoxy stickers!

The Cut Shoppe & Pinkfresh Studio Product Swap Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of The Cut Shoppe-Pinkfresh Studio product swap. Check back all this week for projects combining the beautiful Christmas Wishes collection with fabulous cut files from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store.

Today's project features the new Home for Christmas background cut file, the perfect accompaniment for a Home For The Holidays layout, featuring a photo of all 14 of my parents' grandchildren, plus one great-grandchild. It's truly a feat gathering everyone from near and far for a photo!

Two rows of houses from the Home for Christmas cut file, their roofs sparkling with snow, were popped up from the misted page beneath them. Patterned paper was used to "light" the windows of several of the homes, while others were left in shadows:
