Muggle Struggle with Joanna

Hi friends, Joanna here sharing a magical scrapbook layout. I used 2 cut files from The Cut shoppe for my page.

We recently took a trip to Universal Studios and got to check out the amazing Harry Potter World. Of course we are big fans, and my daughter loved every inch of it! I knew I had to document that special day. The Wizarding World cut file was perfect! I used the title "Muggle Struggle" and cut it out with some Harry Potter themed pattern paper from PhotoPlay.

I also cut out the "Platform 9 3/4" sign out of some purple pattern paper. I love the bright contrast with the yellows, reds and purples.

The background needed a little something else, so I used the Space Cadet cut file and used part of it to fill in the background. 

To finish off, I added some stamping ink splatters and some black Nuvo dots.

Hey everyone!

It's Sasha here today with my layout using two cut files!

The main theme of the layout is made from the Space cadet file! We had some problems with electricity when I tried to cut this file somy plotter had to stop the operation! But I decided to use it any way and divided to the parts)

And I chose The Boy mom cut file for the title! It's simply perfect!

Love how it's going together)))

Hello everyone. It's Anna here with my newest project created with The Cut Shoppe lovely designs. As usually, I have a layout for you with funny picture of my little clown Maja.

I used very fun "Space cadet" cut file. It looks like a more boyish project but it also reminds me of a circus theme. That's why I decided to use it. 

I backed the stars with patter papers. I also added a little pieces of vellum between the circles. It all makes the cut file stand out from the graphic, black and white background.

I didn't want to cover too much of my cut out so I just added some smaller embellishments here and there. I also added a title "be original" cut from the other cut file called "Girl stuff".

Hey there friends! Kelly back with you today to share a new boy themed layout using the Space Cadet Cut File.

I enlarged the cut file to 11.5" in Cricut Design Space and cut the image on a Bella Blvd patterned paper. I also cut the photo in a circular shape to go along with the circular theme of the cut file.

I added watered down yellow acrylic paint and applied it to the center of the layout to help the photo jump off the background. I also added paint splatters in coordinating colors. I then added multiple die cuts and stickers to go along with the video game theme of the layout. For final touches I added machine stitching in three areas on the layout to help your eye dance around the page. How fun is this cut file?! The possibilities are just endless!!

this is Jennifer with a new layout for The Cut Shoppe!

For this layout I used one of the new cutfiles for November: Space Cadet. I just live the galaxy feel it gives and I just had to cut it from a night sky paper from my stash.

For my title I used one of the sentiments from the Give Thanks cutfile set. I cute it from white cardstock and later on backed it with a light blue paper which I cut a bit bigger to give it a bit of a background. I find that it makes the title stand out more from the background.

For my background I used white cardstock and added a bit of mixed media. I used pearlescent watercolors from Finetex to add a shiny circle in rose gold behind the cutfile and later added a few splatters of gold and dark blue watercolors. It made my paper warp a bit because I didn't use gesso but I can live with that.

I backed the open stars from the Space Cadet cutfile with golden glitter paper and later used one of the negatives as an embellishment.

I tried capturing the shiny background with my camera to give you a bit of an impression on how it looks in the right light. It's a very subtle color.
