Boys Will Be Boys | Tarrah McLean

Hi friends,

It's Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a boy layout using the awesome Boys Will Be Boys cut file! Being the mum of 2 boys and hubby I love it when I can use one of the many awesome boy related cut files in The Cut Shoppe store!

Boys Will Be Boys

I cut the cut file design out from a grey paper and then backed each letter in the title with a different paper. Backing cut files is one of my favourite techniques and these titles are also one of my favourites too. Once it was all backed I adhered the whole piece to the lower half of a piece of white cardstock.

I adhered the photo of my sons at the top above the cut file design slightly tucked in underneath at the bottom of the photo. The reason I often add my photo to the top of a design like this is so it creates a good balance on the page. To the right of the photo I added a circular die-cut, a star and some phrase stickers.

I love to add embellishments over cut files too and this one was no exception! As you can see in the photo above, I added a flair button to the centre of the 'O' in 'Boys' and an enamel dot in the middle of the rocket that forms the 'I' in 'Will'. I also added a word sticker and an arrow die-cut.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you are inspired by my layout in some way!

Happy creating!

Hip to the hop | Anna Komenda

Hello The Cut Shoppe fans. It's Anna here with my bunny layout. I am sick of winter and I really can't wait for the spring to come. I am trying to cheer myself up by using pictures from last year and scrapping them with colorful papers and embellishments.

And what can be more spring related than a cute, little bunny? Last spring we had a chance to play with a bunny herd while visiting countryside and my girls were so happy. I snapped few pictures to scrap them later, as always :D

When I saw the "Hip to the hop" cut file, I knew I have to use it with my bunny photos. I cut the bunny shape but also a title.

It was really such a great page to make. Things came together so easily because of all the new scrappy goodies I recently got.

I love the font that was used to create "Hip to the hop" title. It was so easy to back it with 3D foam to get more dimensional effect.

This is the file I used on this layout:

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon.

Be original | Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It's Anna here with my newest project created with The Cut Shoppe lovely designs. As usually, I have a layout for you with funny picture of my little clown Maja.

I used very fun "Space cadet" cut file. It looks like a more boyish project but it also reminds me of a circus theme. That's why I decided to use it.

I backed the stars with patter papers. I also added a little pieces of vellum between the circles. It all makes the cut file stand out from the graphic, black and white background.

I didn't want to cover too much of my cut out so I just added some smaller embellishments here and there. I also added a title "be original" cut from the other cut file called "Girl stuff".

Those are the files I used to make this page:

That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you in March.

XO Ania

Stay wild | Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It's Anna here with my newest layout created with The Cut Shoppe designs. This time I have colorful page with funny pictures of my daughter. You probably all know all those apps, that add ears, whiskers and hats over your selfie. My daughters also love them and they like to pose to pictures when I promise to add something special from the app. I combined few of those photos in a row and printed them. Maja is dressed like an animal on every one of them so I desiged to use "Stay wild" title.

There is even a perfect cut file added this week with this sentence. It's called "Folk art" and it has this "let's stay wild" added. I oversized it, deleted part "let's" and cut it with different pattern papers.

I also loved a cut file "Animal lover" with cute critters, added few weeks ago and I thought it will work perfectly with those pictures.

I also used different pattern papers to create this eclectic mix.

I love when the cut files trigger ideas for perfect pages and I love mixing them together. It's always like "I am making a great use of the money I spend over all those cut files" :D

That's it for today. I hope you like my project. Here are the cut files used by me:

Thank you for stopping by and see you in two weeks.

Always be a unicorn with Anna

Hello everyone. I am so happy to post my first project on TCS blog. I have been a fan of those cut files for a long time and felt so honored when Ashley invited me to join her team.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Anna. I live in Poland with my little family of two daughters, hubby and a beagle dog. I started scrapbooking nine years ago and I think it was the best thing ever happened to me (not counting my friends and family). I love creating with papers and pretty embellishments. My projects are filled with colors and a little bit of mess.
You can visit my blog or follow me on Instagram

After this short intro I am ready to show you my first project.

I created this cute, girlish layout inspired by the unicorn quotation.

I used it to build the composition on my page. I cut it in contrasting paper to make it pop from the layout.

I added some bits and pieces under the letters to make the inscription more interesting. I love using pink on my projects. I think it's quite normal when you are a mom of two girls :D

I must admit that with this page it all started with a quote. It's not typical fro me because usually I pick a picture and then look for matching items. I needed some soft, pinkish photo to go well with this quotation and I found a perfect one. It was taken few years ago, when Maja was taking a bath. She looked so dreamy and her eyes are so blue. I love this picture.

With all the unicorn quotation I had to add some unicorns too. Found one in my sticker stash and I cut the second one using this cut file:

That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you soon with another fun project created with The Cut Shoppe cut files.
