Love it Here

Hi, it's Cara here today with a layout about my village.  It's so peaceful, we moved here 2 years ago and this layout really represents that peacefulness that I've experiences since then.

I used the Unconditional Love cutfile for the title.  There is no 'Love it Here' in the cutfile, but I took 'love' and 'here' from the bottom two phrases and the 'it' is actually the middle of 'with'!  So don't feel limited by the phrases that are given. Don't hesitate to mix and match to find the phrase that suits your page :D

I used the Sci-fi circles as a background to add a little colour and pattern.  The soft colours make this energetic pattern more calming.

Good Times & Good Friends

Do you have something in mind when you create a layout, or do you just go with whatever strikes your fancy? I'm usually a planner. I often have an idea of at least one thing I'd like to do on a page, whether it be a collection, picture, technique, or cut file. With today's layout, however, I decided to just wing it!

After I chose a paper to start out with, I browsed my cut file library and landed on the super fun Unconditional Love and Heart Burst background cut files. These are two of my absolute favorites!

I cut out the Heart Burst and used it as a focal point in my layout.

I traced the Heart Burst with black pen to help it stand out on the page! I cut the Unconditional Love hearts and colored them with a pink Gelato. I played around with whatever embellishments inspired me! I had so much fun just free-styling!

International

Hi, it's Cara today!  So a bit of back story... I'm a Canadian living in Luxembourg and when I saw the recent travel and destination cutfiles I fell in love!  And I knew I needed to do a layout about how international Luxembourg is.  So many languages and so many cultures :D

I used the 'international' from the Here & There cutfile.  It just stood out to me among all these words and was the actual inspiration for this layout.

I then added the 'Going Abroad' tag from the Around the World cutfile but since we aren't going abroad I deleted the 'going' before cutting.  I ended up covering that space with letter stickers anyway ;)

 

And because I can never get enough cutfiles, I added some hearts from the Unconditional Love cutfile.

Love You Always

We've got a lot going on around The Cut Shoppe, and I hope you're following us on Social Media to stay up to date on what's going on!  This month we are teaming up with Neat & Tangled and we'll have a second amazing Team Up coming at the end of this month.  And did you know, that National Scrapbook Day is happening the first Saturday in May??!!  We'll have some inspiration from the Design Team and a special cut file set for NSD.  Plus you can currently play along with our April Cut It Out Challenge, for the chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to The Cut Shoppe!

Now that you're up to date on all of that, it's time to share the new cut files for this week and the layout that I created!  I used the Unconditional Love cut file and the Wood You Be Mine background cut file.  

This layout started out in a different direction and I wasn't entirely happy with it.  I originally cut the Wood You Be Mine 12x12 background in Vellum, but it just wasn't working for me at that size.  So I decided to cut it down to a much smaller size and use it in a band design across the center of the layout.  Once I had the Vellum and patterned papers in place, I added the Love Always phrase from the Unconditional Love cut file, as my title.
