Love Life!

Hello!

Nathalie here with a new layout for the Cut Shoppe.  For this page, I used the picture of my littles (niece and nephew )  as inspiration for the background of the page.

Since the picture is of my littles on the airplane ride at an indoors fair;  I chose the Give it Whirl cut file to replicate the rotor at the front of the plane.  I created a  grid with the image, and backed the cut-out with  papers from the Fancy Free collection (I chose to color block the papers in the background).

To create the title, I am using the "Words to Live By" cut file.   I chose the first image on the cut file, but played a bit with the image so that the title reads in a horizontal fashion, instead of  the vertically, like in the original design.

This page was so easy to put together ( I think the stitching on the circles is what took a bit longer, but it was worthy), and i love how the soft colors (and all the white space) highlight the happiness of my littles. as they enjoyed the ride.

a close up to the details on the  background of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by to see my project.   Don't forget to also visit the Cut Shoppe's Etsy store,  there are new cut files coming soon, but there are lots of inspiration to be found in all the other cut files in the store.  Remember to link any project that uses The Cut Shoppe's products to this blog.  We love to see what you create with them.

Take Care,

Be Original

Hey there!  Katrina, from Paper, Scissors and Glue, sharing a layout with you today using an old cut file and a new cut file!

I used the new "Girl Stuff" cut file for my title work.  The "be original" just went with the entire subject and it was fun to replace the dots for the i's with enamel dots!

These are all the new cut files in the shop this week!  You can pick them all up HERE.

Yep, I love to cluster!!!  LOL

And I used the "Words to Live By" set for this little card.  I just sized to fit my area and then backed with some fun papers.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!!!

Be Awesome

Hello!  I have a simple and fun layout to share with you today using the Trippy Triangles cut file and the Words To Live By cut file!  As soon as I saw the new Happy Things collection from Pinkfresh Studio, I knew I just had to use it along with the Trippy Triangles background!

How To:  I arranged a couple of triangles from the Trippy Triangles cut file and the "Be Awesome" title onto my workspace in Silhouette Studio and cut them out of 12x12 white cardstock.  After my cut was complete I adhered patterned paper to the backside of "awesome" and my triangle cuts.
I then printed a 4x6 photo and placed it behind the "Be" word.  I used a needle and black thread to hand stitch around my cut out triangles.  I then adhered acrylic triangle pieces (from the collection) and a couple of hand cut triangles around my design.  I flicked black spray mist across my page, and finished by adhering wood veneer pieces and puffy stickers.

I hope that you are inspired by my page today, and try to create your own triangular background, I'm sure it would be awesome!!

Be awesome Be you

Hello, it's Danielle here today with something different than usual. Instead of a scrappy project, I decided to decorate a canvas bag that I had for a while but never used before.

Silhouette has this amazing Stencil material which is sticky and reusable. I picked the 'Be awesome Be you' quote from the Words to Live By cut file and cut it out with the Stencil Material. Now I only had to pick a bright pink fabric paint and I was good to go.

This is how my bag turned out.

This is the complete Words to Live By cut file, which you can find overhere in the store.

We love to see all kinds of projects made with The Cut Shoppe cut files, so please share them with us on Facebook or Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Be Awesome Be You & September Cut It Out Winner!

Happy Thursday everyone!  It's time to share the newest Cut Files that have been added to The Cut Shoppe, and I also have a layout, I created with the Words to Live By cut file!  I decided to do something a little different with the cut files this week, and use them as a mask!  Here's what I created!

After tracing the Be Awesome Be You phrase, I copied it on my mat 3 times in Studio.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/205579485/the-words-to-live-by-cut-file-includes-3?ref=shop_home_active_1

Once it was done cutting, I placed the full 12x12 piece of cardstock over the White cardstock base I was using for my layout.  Then I covered two of the phrases and misted one.  I repeated this process, letting my spray mist dry between spraying each phrase.  It's always fun to try something new, so don't be afraid to use your cut files as masks, with spray mist or even modeling paste!

And now, it's time for the October Cut It Out Challenge, and also time to announce the Winner of the September Cut It Out Challenge!
