Love

Hi! Irit here with a new fun project! I love the new I'll Fly Away cut file, it has so many possibilities! Cut it one time and you have enough goodies to keep you going for at least two layouts. Less talking, more showing. Here's my layout-

The files are used are these-

I started with cutting the background, and used it as a stencil with some modeling paste I colored pink. You can use it again and again!

The butterflies that are left can be accents on the layout, I chose to leave them white, but you can cut them from any color/pattern, or color them yourself with any paint you like!

For my title I simply chose the word Love from the Word to the Wise cut file. Instead of cutting it I used a pen to sketch it, and then did an offset cut. Super easy and looks so good!

You can see my process in the video-

Thanks so much for visiting, check out The Cut Shoppe for these and more awesome cut files! Have a great day!

Word to the Wise-One Cool Kid

Hi friends Candace here with you today to share a layout made with the super fun Word to the Wise cut file.

I adore this cut file!  With four boys this cut file comes in handy a lot!  For this layout I used inspiration from a beautiful layout from our very own Ashley Horton.  Here is a look at her fabulous layout!

For my layout I used the Max collection from Bella Blvd.  The Max collection is my absolute favorite boy collection and I am having a really hard time not hoarding it!  I decided to bite the bullet and use it for a scrap lift layout of Ashley's layout.  Here is a look at my layout.

Here are a few close ups...

I had so much fun creating this layout!  Thanks for stopping by!  To get this cut file you can stop by the shop here.  Have a beautiful day!

Cool

Hi guys! Michelle here with you today and I want to share a layout that features a photo of my teenage son and his grandpa. I don't know about other moms of teenagers, but I struggle a little bit when it comes to putting together a layout that accurately reflects the point in life that my son is at. Simply put, I cannot do cheesy or overly sentimental. I have to keep it cool! Ha!

Keeping it cool is exactly what I did with this layout by using the Word to the Wise cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

The Word to the Wise cut file includes 5 words that can be used on your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

This particular cut file worked perfectly for this simple, masculine layout and actually reflects the one word responses I get from the kiddo on a routine basis!

  Cool

When adhering the title I only used a little bit of adhesive knowing that I was going to run the letters through the sewing machine later. I also like the little bit of dimension that is added to the page when elements are lifting off of the background.

Cool 2

Now it's your turn! What would you use this cut file for? If you're on Instagram, take a photo of your project and tag us with @thecutshoppe or #thecutshoppe that way we can find your fun projects!

Wander

It's no secret that I love typograpy, and mixing different fonts and letter styles on my layouts.  So when I sat down to work on my layout for this week, I just had to use the new Word to the Wise cut file set.  I wanted to create a subway art look, so I traced the words and arranged them in Silhouette Studio in the position I wanted to have them on my layout.  First I used a Black Sketch Pen for drawing three of the words and then I cut the others from patterned paper and placed them on the White card stock background.

Once I had everything completed in the background, I used my sewing machine to stitch a square shape around the words.  Then I added my photo and several embellishments.  I didn't want to cover a lot of the background work, so I embellished my layout by adding in several rub-ons from the Finders Keepers collection.  I was able to place the rub-ons in some of the White space between the words.  And I finished the layout by adding the Finders Keepers Thickers for the title of my page.
