Hello friends! It is Kylie with you all on the blog today with a new layout to share.For this page I have worked with the 'Roses are Red' cut file which is available now on the WEBSITE.

I really wanted to incorporate lots of colour into my design and have used the 'Hip Hop Hooray' collection by Simple Stories. I have layered several designs of paper together to form a framed background. 

My cut file was backed with the same coloured paper to keep things simple.I selected a contrasting paper for the centre of my cut file which was adhered flat to the background. Once my cut file was backed I used foam tape to adhere it over the top so that it gave the appearance of being a frame.Next I began layering various die cuts around the flower wreath, making sure to keep an even balance.

My photo was only printed quite small so that it fitted nicely to my wreath.To finish, more die cuts and stickers were added around my photo for a neat, balanced finish.The cut file has certainly added a lovely 'Spring' theme to my completed design.

You Go Girl | Kylie Kingham.

Hello scrappy friends, it's Kylie back with you today with a brand new layout to share. For today's design I had a lot of fun working with the new 'You Go Girl' cut file which is now available on the WEBSITE.

I really loved the style of font used for this title as it enabled me to use different patterned papers to back each one. I went with a very soft past theme for my layout using the 'Wise & Free' collection by Uniquely Creative. I added some torn edges to my background and once my cut file was fully backed I adhered it with some foam tape. By doing this, gives the impression my cut file is 'floating' on my layout.

I tucked in some cute embellishments behind my cut file title as well as added some over the top.

I printed two of the same photo and backed them before adhering them next to my title. A lot of people ask why I print two photos the same and it is purely for effect. To complete my layout I added a large cluster of embellishments to the lower right hand side of my page for balance. I wanted lots of different layers so it added a nice dimension.

Hello everyone. It's Kylie here, back with a new layout to share with you all. I've been having lots of fun with one of the newest cut files to be added to The Cut Shoppe's website ,which was the 'Love Always' cut file. 

I've kept the overall theme of my layout masculine using some of my most favourite colour combinations to back the cut file. I backed each small heart separately which took some time to do so but I was very happy with how it looked once completed. It was adhered to my background page with foam tape, so that it sat up a little which helps give the appearance of depth and dimension within your layout.

Only a small amount of embellishments were added to support my photo which was adhered to the lower portion of my layout.

Once completed and I was happy with the finished balance and result, I added a fine hand drawn border around the outer edge. This was done with a fine tip black marker.

Hello there friends! It is Kylie back with you on the blog today to share a brand new layout I have been working on. My son's albums have been looking a less full to my daughter's lately so I wanted to create a layout for him. Searching through The Cut Shoppe store, I was drawn to the Brick House cut file, and knew it would make a perfect background for a 'grunge' styled layout.

This layout came together particularly fast, thanks to it being so easy to back. I've kept it pretty simple by adding a contrasting border in navy and backing the grunge styled paper with a solid piece of wood grain themed paper. (This paper collection is 'Boys Rule' by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.) For texture, I was going to add a machine stitched border. However in the end I decided to add a free hand drawn border with a black marker. I thought this tied into the grunge styled theme better.

I added my photo to the background with foam tape, so that it sat up a little for dimension. Surrounding my photo I have added some different coloured and styled frames overlapping each other.

To complete my layout I have added some different styled titles again with foam tape, over the top of the frames. I did this in a manner so that it gave a nice balance and so that it was not looking too over crowded. I thought some of the titles best described my boy! 

This has been a cut file that adds a great amount of texture and detail to your layout but hasn't needed a lot of embellishing.It looks great just as it is!

Hello friends. It's Kylie with you all and today I am sharing a new layout I have created, featuring the new 'Square Off' cut file now available on The Cut Shoppe website. I decided to create a love heart within the square by backing it with a contrasting paper to its background.

It became pretty clear straight away that this cut file could be backed many ways to create many varying patterns. It would also be lovely as a coloured background. I began my layout by layering 3 different papers for my background so that it gave a nice border to my page. I used the gorgeous 'So Happy Together' paper collection by Simple Stories.

Once my cut file was backed I added my photo with foam tape, so that it sat up from the background to give dimension. This was then supported and surrounded with some cut die cuts for extra colour.

I really didn't want to 'over crowd' my background so I added a cute cluster of embellishments to the opposite side to my photo, keeping it minimal. This way the heart I created within the square background was still the main feature of my design.

Once completed I loved how all the layers and colour worked so well together...

Hello friends! It's Kylie back with you today to share a new layout I have been working on. Even though it's Summer here in Australia I wanted to create a very 'Spring' themed layout and decided to work with the gorgeous Flutterby cut file. It features a beautiful, circular wreath of Butterflies.

A white square was added to my floral background paper and for texture I added some back stitch as a border. I selected 4 different papers to back my Butterflies using the pretty 'Paisley Days' collection from Kaisercraft. It had a lovely 'vintage' feel about it. 

Once my Butterfly wreath was backed I adhered it to my background with foam tape, so that it added a nice dimension to my completed design. I kept embellishments minimal so not to distract away from the gorgeous Butterflies. Some simple floral enhancements were added surrounding my photo as well as some sub title elements as well.

For balance, I added another cluster of embellishments to the opposite side to my photo. I layered the flowers and adhered some with foam tape, again to build a sense of dimension. A small phrase tag was nestled amongst the blooms and finished with a small string bow.

Once completed I was super happy with how bright and fun my layout was.

Hello friends its Kylie back with you today to share a brand new layout. I've been working on some of my sons album pages and found the Haphazard Hexagons cut file was perfect for todays design. Once completed it added so much colour to my page!

Each Hexagon was backed with the same co-ordinating papers before I adhered the cut file to my background paper with some foam tape. By using the foam helps it to sit up a little from the background, adding a nice dimension and texture to your completed work.

Once my cut file was in place I was able to add my photo as well as various embellishments. I wanted the Hexagon background to be a feature so my photo was added to the lower left hand side corner.

To create different layers some die cuts were tucked in under my cut file and others added above with even more foam tape.

To complete my layout and to add balance to my finished page, a title was also added.

Hi friends! It's Kylie with you today, sharing a brand new layout I have just completed. It features the super pretty Floral Frame cut file available on The Cut Shoppe website.

Once my lovely frame was cut I chose 3 different papers to act as border pieces for my layout. They were layered together and a machine stitched border was also added. (Note: I am working with the 'Blessed' paper collection by Kaisercraft.) I wanted the centre of my frame to stay white so I kept the off cut piece left on my cutting mat to use as a template. I backed the flowers of my cut file and then used the centre piece to trace around on white cardstock and cut slightly larger so it was a neat fit within the frame.

Using some die cuts from the paper collection I added small clusters both over my photo and at the opposite corner.

This was done with some foam tape so that they sat up off the page, adding lovely dimension to my completed design.
