Freezin' Season | Kelly Janes

Hey there, friends! Kelly here today to share a winter themed layout using the Snow Day Background Cut File.

I sliced a single snowflake, from the Snow Day Background Cut File, resized and duplicated the snowflake numerous times. I thencut the snowflakes on 2 different patterned papers and added them as extra die cuts around the layout.

A grid design is always a go-to design for me when I'm feeling not so creative! These photos aren't the best quality, but it was such a fun memory that I wanted to document as many of them as I could on a single layout. I used washi tape and created a flap where I could position/hide 2 more photos and also hide my journaling.

This layout was so fun to put together and I love how the snowflakes look scattered around the layout! They add extra dimension and texture...not to mention additional pops of color! Remember to head to the Etsy Store to check out all of the cut files! There are so many great designs in the shop!

Totally Tropical

Hi everyone, Julie back with you today sharing a layout I’ve made using the Open Letter Alpha cut file. This is a great cut file to use for titles as you can make it really large & back all the letters, which is how I went with it.

I started off by adding some mixed media to the page, gesso, inks & some gold texture paste. Then I added some layers to the top of the page adding a doily, a zip, ripped paper & ruffles of crepe paper. The large title I backed with a selection of patterned papers & added that below the layered papers. My photos I matted on some tissue & patterned papers & added bits & pieces of ephemera around & under them. I finished off the layout with a couple of strips of paper at the bottom, some stitching & a few sequins.

Thanks for joining me today & I’ll be back with you soon xoxo

Elf on the Shelf

Hi everyone, Julie back with you again today sharing a Christmas layout made with one of the new files in the store The Favorite Things cut file.

As you can see this cut file has many cuts on it but I choose to use just the elf one. My children are older now & our elf is just a Christmas decoration but I love the concept of this tradition, an elf keeping an eye on things & reporting back to Santa. I deleted all the other cuts & super sized the elf one, cutting it in a woodgrain paper. I then added fax stitching around it with a white pen. On the right hand side of the opening I made a vellum pocket & added a few sequins. I layered a bunch of papers behind the photo & stuck it all down under the word Elf. I added a bit of gold texture paste & stencilled some red dots to the background & to finish off the page I added a couple of flair badges, some ephemera & a lovely red tassel.

Thanks for joining me today & I’ll be back nearer Christmas, xoxo
