Celebrate Easter | Caroli Schulz

Hello there! Caroli here, with my very first post as part of the DT of The Cut Shoppe :)  Today I want to share a fun layout I made using gorgeous Celebrate Easter cut file.

This is my layout:

As soon as I saw this cut file I knew I wanted to use it as big focus of my project, so I decided how to fill it in a fun and creative way.

I filled letter S using several little circles, and gave them some extra volume by folding them in halves. I love how they look.

For filling letter E I used plenty of diecuts, I adhered some of the using foam dots, this way my page gains volume and looks more interesting.

Journaling is always an important item on my layouts. In this case, I backed letter R with some white cardstock with a slight clouds pattern, this way I can use this space to write all about the pic. I combined my own handwriting with some tiny stickers just to make my journaling a little bit more interesting and an active element in my design.

As you can see, finished layout is a fun page, with a lot of volume, and the most important thing is that it documents a beautiful memory of my two little ones ♥

I hope you liked this idea and got some inspiration to work with this lovely cut file. If you have any comment just leave me a comment. See you soon on a next post!

Easter Layout by Jill

Hi Everyone!  I'm back with a new page featuring the Celebrate Easter cut file that just landed in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store a few days ago.  I made the cut file REALLY BIG to create a giant title on my layout.

I started by getting the word Easter sized to my liking, cut it once out of a white and gray patterned paper, then removed all the inner cut lines and cut it again to back the file just right.

Whenever I use over-sized cuts like this one, I tend to hold back on using a ton of embellishments.  I don't want to overwhelm the eye with too many embellishments and patterns, so I embellished around my photo and then added puffy stickers and die cuts in just a few spots on the page.

I just love a pretty, pastel Easter page!

New Cut Files | Easter Memories

Spring is springing, and we've got some awesome new cut files that will add a spring to your step!  If it's not feeling like spring where you live, I'm sure you're like me and have photos from last year that still need to be documented.  I decided to go with an Easter photo and the new Celebrate Easter cut file on my layout.

I cut the Easter title from White card stock and backed each of the letters with a different patterned paper from the 6x6 Flourish paper pad.  For my background paper, I used a subtle pattern from the Flourish collection, that wouldn't overwhelm the papers I used behind the cut file.

Since I had a lot of pattern in the background, I decided to create a visual triangle on the layout, to draw attention to the clusters.  I started at the top with my photo and placed a chipboard butterfly next to it, for emphasis.  Then I added a few stickers from the collection.

I finished the other two clusters with a mix of stickers and chipboard.  Adding pop dots behind your stickers helps add dimension and gives the cluster a more pleasing look, rather than just having all of your layers flat.  I felt like I needed one more thing to finish the layout, so I cut the word "memories" and placed it in the center of the layout to complete the title.

Whatever you're documenting this spring, we've got you covered!  Head over to The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to check out these new designs and all of our spring, Easter and floral themed cut files!
