Pumpkin Brains | orange gearle

Hi! Orange Gearle here with a fun October layout using two files from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store!

For this layout I used some navy blue card stock to cut the Pumpkin Carving cut file. Then I backed it with patterned papers. Here's a look at the cut file.

For the title I used a font on my computer to cut "pumpkin" and then the Super Star Alpha from The Cut Shoppe for the word BRAINS.

Here are a few close ups:

I found a few embellishments in my stash, like this flair from A Flair For Buttons that matched my daughter's shirt perfectly!

I added some tangled thread and word stickers for a few finishing touches.

I really love the way this one turned out. I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

These cut files were so fun to work with. Thanks a lot for stopping by, and I'll see you again soon!

Six Months for Xmas by Caroli Schulz

Hello there! Caroli here, and today I want to share with you a new layout I've made using some fabulous cut files available at The Cut Shoppe's Etsy store.

This time I used the DIY Quilt as background and the Super Star Alpha for my title.

I am a Christmas lover, I just can't help it! I listen to Christmas music the whole year and every June 25 I throw a party with my friends to celebrate the there are only six months left for Christmas, it's so much fun! This is what my layout is all about, here it is:

I backed just some of the spaces in the background cut file because I wanted a simple look, also because I loved this turquoise paper I used as base and wanted to see it through.

I used a foam dots and enamel dots to enhance some of the die cuts I used as embellishments, I think that volume is always is a good idea!

As I said before, for my title I used the Super Star Alpha, which I backed with patterned paper and embellished with some enamel stars and diecuts. Also, I stitched a bit with my sewing machine on some of the letters, in order to make the design more eye catching.  I completed the title with some enamel letters.

I love how funny and colorful this layout came out. I used Fancy Pants Design's Wish Season collection, of one my fave Christmas collections so far because i has a lot of pink and turquoise colors <3

I hope you liked this layout and get inspired, it's never to early to start thinking about Christmas, uh? Have a lovely day!!

Liam Jay | Erica Thompson

Happy Sunday everyone!  Erica here with you today to bring you a layout using the Super Star Alpha from The Cut Shoppe!

I wanted to cut out my sons name Liam Jay and use that as the main focus of my layout!  I cut the letters out of American Crafts white cardstock!  Once I had the letters picked out for his name I made sure that each letter was touching each other and then welded them together so they each word would be one piece.  It was very easy to do and I love how it came it!
I used a super cute collection designed by Lacey Gasper called Burps & Giggles!  I just love the colors in this collection!  It is a digital collection so you can print at home or do like I did and send to your local printer to print it off for you!
I backed each letter with pattern paper and adhered to my layout using foam tape!  I love this alpha so much!!  It is so fun and can be used on so many different themed layouts!  I think it would also be fun to use some sketch pens with it and cover a whole paper in this alpha!  Maybe some fun words or lyrics to a song!
Here is a look at my completed layout!  Maker sure to check out my process video HERE!

Thank so  much for stopping by today!  We would love to see how you use the Super Star Alpha cut file!  Make sure to tag us when using TCS files on your projects!  Have a great rest of your day and if you have not already joined the Scrap Spot on Facebook we would love to see your lovely face!  You can check it out HERE!

let love grow | orange gearle

Hello! Orange Gearle here with a new spread in my Traveler's Notebook. I used THREE different items from The Cut Shoppe

This layout is in my "junk journal" style TN that I made with patterned papers. Some of my pages are smaller -- and this left side was perfect for my title! I used the Super Star Alpha for part of my title. Did you know that The Cut Shoppe has Traveler's Notebook files? For the right side, I used the heart decorative page from Love Rules Traveler's Notebook!   They are sized perfectly for a standard TN, and I love the extra fun they add!  Finally I used the printable available in the shop called The Road Trip. Even though this isn't about a road trip, I couldn't resist those cute flowers! They were perfect for this one!  Here's a look at the cut files I used.

Here are a couple of close up photos of my project:

This alpha. I know I am going to use this over and over again. I love the stars!!

I also made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by! XO o.g.

New Cut Files | Rest Stop

Hey friends!  It's time for four NEW Cut File sets!  The Design Team members have put in some suggestions recently, so I've been working on covering some of their requests!  I think you will like all of today's new sets...I know I did!  I liked them so much, I decided to combine two cut files on the layout I'm sharing today.  I worked with the Tangled Triangles 8.5x11 cut file and the Super Star Alpha cut file.

I used two of my favorite techniques on this layout, hand-stitching and backing a cut file.  The Simple & Sweet collection from Pinkfresh Studio is one of my new favorites, so I grabbed it for my layout.  I worked on my title first, and used the Silhouette Cameo sketch pens to draw out part of the title for hand-stitching.  And I wanted to use a large, vertical title on the layout to fill in the space next to the Tangled Triangles cut file.

After I finished my title, I worked on backing the cut file with some of the 6x6 papers from the Simple & Sweet collection.  I didn't want to fill in all of the triangle spaces, but I thought it would be fun to bring in some pops of color and pattern with a few of the papers.

I used a larger than normal photo on the layout, and changed it to black & white because I really wanted it to stand out.  Then I placed embellishments around the Tangled Triangle cut file to add balance to the design.

You can check out my process for this layout, in my new video.  And I would love to have you as a new Subscriber on my YouTube channel!

Now is a great time to head over to The Cut Shoppe Etsy store and check out the new designs.  And it's always fun to pick up a few extras while you're there!!
