Hello everyone,
this is Jennifer with a new project for The Cut Shoppe!
This layout took a while to put together - somehow every single one of my chosen products refused to cooperate. But I beat them into submission in the end. ;)
For this layout I combined The X File 12x12 cutfile and the Around & Around cutfile.
I stayed monochromatic with both cutfiles and background - I used black cardstock for the background, white cardstock for Around & Around and black and white striped patterned paper for The X File.
I backed the Around & Around circles with colorful paper. The other cutfile I used only partially because the stripes made it quite busy.
Here and there I added a few extra X File circles to the background. Together with the other circles it created a diagonal design.
I kept both my patterned paper and embellishments bright and colorful to counteract the dark background. I makes the layout bright and cheerful despite the stark black.
For my title I combined a big chipboard word with some alpha stickers. I used the packaging technique on the chipboard word to combine three of my main colors: yellow, pink and turquoise.
That's it for today. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
xoxo

"Hand Picked" with Kira
Do you ever start out with one idea in mind for a layout, and then end up with something completely different? That's exactly what happened with this layout.
I started with the idea of taking a few of the circles from the Around & Around cut file from The Cut Shoppe, "welding" them together in design space along with a few of the leaves from the Funky Florals cut file. I wanted my design to go in a diagonal direction, so that's how I welded the cut file. And then after a lot of backing with pretty paper, and fussing with placement, and almost throwing the layout out completely...I stepped away.
When I came back to my layout, I decided to take it in a different direction. I cut up my previously welded cut file and decided to use the Around & Around cut file as flowers in a horizontal design.
I decided to add in a few more leaves to give the look of a floral design, and luckily I had some leaves from the Autumn Acres cut file I had used on a previous layout. I also had a few stray leaves from the Funky Floral cut file floating around my desk too. I backed some of them with paper and left some un-backed.
I chose this darker blue buffalo check pattern as my background but to add more interest I tore off the bottom 1" and folded up one of the corners. I placed some textured white cardstock under and tucked another circle and another leaf under the folded flap.
I love to add bakers twine to my layouts to give it an extra added texture so I placed some around my page in three places. I finished off my layout with some gold thickers spelling out "Hand Picked" as my title.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Guest Designer | Rebecca Keppel
Happy April everyone! We're kicking off the month with our talented April Guest Designer, Rebecca Keppel! I had the opportunity to meet Rebecca in person and she is the sweetest! I have been a fan of her work for many years, and we are excited to have her with us today! Let's get to know a bit more about Rebecca before we check out her awesome layout!
Hi Cut Shoppe fans! My name is Rebecca Keppel and I have been scrapbooking in the modern sense of the word since 2005. Besides recording our memories and playing with fun product, I love to try out new techniques and learn more about photography. In addition to making layouts, I enjoy card making, planning and the occasional home decor project. I enjoy being a member of the paper crafting community and love to share my projects and ideas on my blog (My Cluttered Corner) and my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/ rebeccakeppel). Thanks so much to The Cut Shoppe for having me as a guest designer! I had a blast creating my layout!
Thanks so much for joining us Rebecca! Now let's see what she created, using the All Tied Up Alpha, Open Letter Alpha and the Around & Around cut file!
What a fun technique with the Distress Ink!! And the colorful title is so eye-catching! Thanks so much for sharing your amazing work with us, Rebecca!
Don't forget to check out Rebecca's Blog, My Cluttered Corner, to see more of her work and check out her other social media links.

I cut several two sizes of the Around & Around cut file out of white
cardstock. Then I applied Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink with a Mini Ink
Blending tool. Finally, I spritzed them with water using my Distress
Sprayer.
I cut both alphas and backed them with strips of the patterned
paper that I laid behind them. After backing them with the patterned
paper, I popped them up with foam adhesive.

Hello Awesome Baby
Hello all!
I am beyond excited to have my first layout for The Cut Shoppe! I have been a fan of Ashley's designs since the day i purchase the Let's Cut Class (to learn how to use my Cameo); from then to now being in the design team (with all these amazing ladies) has been a blessing. Thank you Ashley!
For this first layout, I wanted to document this little angel (I am lucky to babysit him once in a while!); so I chose to use two cutfiles to create my background, Around & Around and Boys Rule. I welded some of the pieces together, and added pocket shakers on the empty spaces of the scribbled circles (this is my interpretation of the rattles this sweet baby loves so much).

Next, I chose the teal background paper from the new Sunny Side Up Digital Collection (I had the entire collection printed to fit a 11x17 in format at Staples -the largest size cardstock they had at hand-). A large border of Crate Paper's Bloom Collection (Delighted) was machine stitched to frame the layout. Next I added the picture, and formed clusters around it with some cut-outs from the Sunny Side Up collection, MAMBI's Soft Spoken series chipboard stickers, and Heidi Swapp's MInc Icon collection.

The title was created using the Open Letter Alpha cut file (a personal favorite). I used foiled vellum (Hello Love from Crate Paper's Hello Love collection, and paper 02 from MME's Necessities collection) to back the words, as they matched the color of the sequin in the shaker pockets.
Here is the final layout after a few more details were added...
I am super excited to have shared this layout with you. Leave me a comment if you have any questions about the layout.
Don't forget to check the store THE CUT SHOPPE to find all these cut files, and many more (they are truly beautiful designs)

These Happy Days
Hi! Irit here sharing a new layout I created using some fun new cut files from The Cut Shoppe! Here's my finished layout-
I used the Around & Around cut file to create a custom background by resizing the circles and welding them in an interesting way.
The Daily Grind words file is perfect for everyday photos. I added a sticker that says Happy between the words 'These' and 'Days' to create my title.
All the papers and embellishments I used are from recent Felicity Jane kits.
Don't forget to check out the process video and see how this came together!
Thanks for visiting! Check out The Cut Shoppe for these cut files and more. Have a lovely day!

Hello Fabulous
Hi everyone, Julie back with
you again today sharing a layout using the Around & Around and A Way WithWords cut files.
I first added some splatters
of black mist to a piece of 12x12 kraft cardstock & then I sketched the cut
file Around & Around all over the page choosing just one circle but in
various sizes. I used that as a template to sew my messy circles by. I added
the cardstock, at an angle, to a piece of patterned paper & sewed that into
place. I added some blue glitter texture paste through a stencil & drew a
few small circles around the page. I punched some different sized circles out
of patterned paper & added those in the centre of the circles again sewing
them down. My photos were backed with a few patterned papers & added down the
right hand side. To finish the page I added the title, cut from the A Way With
Words cut file & a few bits of ephemera.
Thank you for joining us
today & I’ll be back with you soon xoxo
