Magic Moments | Tarrah McLean

Hi Cut Shoppe friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you today to share a new layout with you using the gorgeous 'With Love' Freebie Friyay cut file. You can download this cut file for free at anytime here in the store.

The 'With Love' cut file is a great one to use up lots of scraps and bits and pieces. You can do this by backing each heart in a different paper. I firstly cut out the design with a pretty pinky coloured paper and then backed different papers behind the hearts. I love how it turned out!

With Love

Once I had all the hearts backed with the papers, I added foam tape to the underside of each heart, I wanted them to have dimension and create that shadow on the page.
Before I adhered the heart cut file down, I got out my watercolour paints and drew a rough heart shape in both pink and blue. I then added a few splats of mist in various colours around the watercolour hearts too.

Once it was dry I went ahead and stuck down the heart cut file. I tried to position it so that you could see the watercoloured hearts underneath. I layered a few embellishments under my photo and layered the title 'Magic Moments' over the top of the bottom of the photo.

I also added a few embellishments on top of the hearts to create some added interest and I love how they look. I added some wooden pieces, some chipboard stickers and some die-cuts. The glitter pieces included in the Turn the Page collection by Paige Evans were the perfect touch to add a pop of spark in a few places too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the Cut Shoppe store, there are so many amazing designs in store to suit any theme project!

Happy creating!

XOXO With Love | Amanda Baldwin

Hi TCS Friends!

Welcome back for digital cut file inspiration!
Amanda here, & today I'm sharing a Happy Heart Day themed layout featuring the awesome With Love file!

"XOXO"

Sigh!!!!
All.the.heart.eyes for these two darlings!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
And the best part?
The With Love file is a FREE one! Yessss!
Love me a freebie!
Here's a closer look at the file.....

Download your Freebie FriYAY With Love cut file HERE.
Let's take a closer look at all this Valentine's sweetness......

I cut the With Love file in a pretty watermelon red cardstock, then back it with pattern papers from Crate Paper's Main Squeeze collection. Using my Fine Liner, I glue the back of the cut file - but only along the outline of the large heart. I attach it to my big photograph, and once dry, I fold all the connecting smaller hearts (a bit like butterfly wings) & then fussy cut the excess photo away.
The result is simply stunning!!!
The large black and white photo is so striking against all that pink & red!
& I just love the texture and dimension the folded hearts create!

For added interest, I create a light layer of mixed media to mount the With Love file & photograph onto. I've used Shimmerz Paints Vibez in Sweetheart & Razzeldazzel Berry around the edge of where the heart  will be positioned. So many pretty splatters and droplets!

I use the glossy black Main Squeeze 6 x 12 Puffy Phrase Stickers for my title, & subtitles. The remainder of my layout is lots of embellishing with an assortment of puffy hearts, heart stickers, glitter hearts and even sequins!

Simple, sweet & a perfect cut file for any of your Heart Day projects!
I hope I've inspired you today!

Thanks so much for visiting,
Hope you all have a very Happy Heart Day on the 14th!

Book Love | Kelly Janes

Hey there friends! Kelly here today to share my first layout for 2019! I've been busy working on my December Daily album so I was excited to get back to my 12x12 scrapbooking! For my layout today I'm using the Freebie Friyay With Love Cut File.

I cut the cut file on white cardstock and used the cut file to trace the center of the heart on another sheet of white cardstock. I then used an alpha stamp set to repeatedly stamp the word "Books" on the background. This layout is all about how I actually completed one of my 2018 resolutions...to read at least 24 books in a year.

I  used the same cut file to trace the heart on a sheet of patterned paper. I fussy cut the heart shape from the patterned paper and started layering all of the pieces together. I layered a sheet of vellum over the white cardstock with the stamping, I then added the patterned paper over the vellum, and finally I adhered the cut file on the top of the patterned paper.

I tucked my photo in the bottom left corner of the heart and added a couple clusters of embellishments.

This layout was so fun to put together! Now you can take a look at my process video!

Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me today! Remember to head to The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of our cut files.

HOCO 2018 | Erica Thompson

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Cut Shoppe blog! Today I am sharing a layout using the first Freebie Friyay cutfile of 2019 With Love!

I recently purchased the You & Me collection from Echo Park and I was so excited to use it with this cut file! I cut the file out on some American Crafts smooth white card stock. I backed it with papers from the You & Me collection designed by Jen Allyson! I also created an offset piece to the cut file to add a little more to the cut once it was completed. I hand stitched all around the heart using some white embroidery floss. This will allow the top hearts to bend up giving lots of interest and dimension to the layout.
I added foam squares to the back of the file and used a white piece of American Crafts smooth card stock for my background paper. The photo is of my son Grant and his girlfriend Sofia at Homecoming. I thought this photo was perfect to document their High School dance and their of so special "first love". They have been friends since middle school and recently have been given the OK to date. He even went over to her home and asked permission from her father to take her to the dance. He was so nervous but it went very well!
I used a lot of the stickers from the You & Me collection pack to embellish my layout. I also stamped out a heart stamp from a new Catherine Pooler Stamp of Approval stamp set and used an epoxy from Scrappin Happy Studio!

Here is a look at my completed layout featuring the With Love cut file! You can see what Ashley created with this same cut file on yesterday's post HERE! This file is so much fun it is a must have!
