Be original | Anna Komenda

Hello everyone. It's Anna here with my newest project created with The Cut Shoppe lovely designs. As usually, I have a layout for you with funny picture of my little clown Maja.

I used very fun "Space cadet" cut file. It looks like a more boyish project but it also reminds me of a circus theme. That's why I decided to use it.

I backed the stars with patter papers. I also added a little pieces of vellum between the circles. It all makes the cut file stand out from the graphic, black and white background.

I didn't want to cover too much of my cut out so I just added some smaller embellishments here and there. I also added a title "be original" cut from the other cut file called "Girl stuff".

Those are the files I used to make this page:

That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you in March.

XO Ania

Be Still My Heart

Hello, it's Melissa here back with my second post for October!  For this layout I knew I wanted to use the flower on the Girl Stuff cut file, and create a daisy chain.  I drew a large circle on Silhouette Studio, and used it as a template to place the flowers.  Once I placed them, and they're not perfect, I welded them together.  It took some effort to get them positioned, but its worth it!  My layout is about my youngest and how she had to have all her new clips in her hair!  I used Cocoa Vanilla's Hello Lovely collection.

I popped up the centres of the flowers with dimensional foam.

I kept all other elements of the layout within the daisy chain.

I even managed to keep my splatters within the daisies!!

Here is the Girl Stuff cut file, and you can purchase it here in the Etzy Shop.  If you don't have digital die cutting machine you can also purchase this one pre-cut; check out the link to see a photo.

Thanks for looking!  See you in November :)

Hangin' Poolside

As soon as I saw the Girl Stuff and Boys Rule cut file sets, I knew I'd like to create a sort of clothesline for the outfits. I could picture them cut from various pretty patterns and strung up across the paper, but had no idea how I'd incorporate that idea into a scrapbook page...until now.

On my layout Hangin' Poolside, the T-shirts (Boys Rule) and jeans (Girl Stuff) hang on a length of baker's twine, while the kids in the snapshot hang out poolside for the requisite swim team photo:

The line of aqua-patterned clothing pokes fun at my title and becomes a major design element on the page. Everything else is easily layered, starting with a bold black and white patterned paper. Next, subtle prints of blue and aqua are stacked haphazardly, along with a string-tie envelope. The lightest paper acts as both photo mat and journaling spot.

Pen-stitching adds a bit of detail to the T-shirts and jeans (cut down for shorts):

Check out all of the cool designs (titles, accents, and more) in these two cut file sets:

Which is your favorite, and what will you create? Me, I've got plans for the word "beautiful" from Girl Stuff! ;)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Until next time,

Be Original

Hello! Jennifer here today to share a layout I created using one of the fun new backgrounds from
The Cut Shoppe!  I love the intricate backgrounds...I think they are fun to play with!  I used the 12x12 What Goes Around file with white cardstock. I backed random circles with different patterns from Amy Tangerine's Stitched collection.

For my title, I used this  cute sentiment from the Girl Stuff cut file set!  I used a darker pattern on top of the white and bright colors.

I also used the flower from Girl Stuff in different sizes and patterns to accent my page.

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out these and many more files!  Have a great day!

Beautiful

Hello everyone, Julie back with you today sharing a layout using the Girl Stuff cut file. This file has loads of great stuff on it but I decided to go with the word ‘beautiful’.

I used a piece of white cardstock & cut out the word down the left hand side & backed it with different patterned papers. I then inked through a doily stencil, in yellow & placed my paper layers & photo on top of that, adding a few bits of ephemera around the edges & a cute pink tassel. I backed the page with some patterned paper & sewed around the edge.

I hoped you have enjoyed my page today & I’ll be back with you next month xoxo

Be Original

Hey there!  Katrina, from Paper, Scissors and Glue, sharing a layout with you today using an old cut file and a new cut file!

I used the new "Girl Stuff" cut file for my title work.  The "be original" just went with the entire subject and it was fun to replace the dots for the i's with enamel dots!

These are all the new cut files in the shop this week!  You can pick them all up HERE.

Yep, I love to cluster!!!  LOL

And I used the "Words to Live By" set for this little card.  I just sized to fit my area and then backed with some fun papers.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!!!
