Back to School | Kelly Janes

Hey friends! It's back to school time and my kiddo recently started middle school! AH! I don't even know where the time has went, but I did know that I needed to document this moment! The Photo Album Cut File was the perfect cut file to use with the photos I took at Back to School Night!

I started by cutting the Photo Album Cut File on a green patterned paper. I then took multiple school themed 4x6 Project Life style cards and backed the cut file. I placed fun foam behind the entire cut file and then adhered it to a 12x12 patterned paper.

I positioned my photos along with multiple school themed products around the photos. I have an iris container full of school themed products that I break out each year to document these memories. I LOVE being able to use my stash!! I kept my journaling short and sweet and added it in a couple places on the layout.

This cut file is so fun & I love how easy it made using multiple photos! Remember to head to The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files, digital collections and the newly released class!

Sun Shiny Day | Erica Thompson

Do you have a favorite summer collection? Well I think the new Simple Stories Sunshine & Blue Skies is my new favorite summer collection. The colors are gorgeous and I thought this collection was the perfect match with the Sun Shiny Day cut file.
I cut the file out on some white cardstock and used white as my background. I pulled out some ink colors from Cathereine Pooler Designs that I think are a perfect match. Samba, Coral Cabana, Limoncello, Suede Shoes, Mardi Gras. I used these colors to create splatters all over my background matching the colors with the backed cut file.

I love all the color peeking out behind the file and it reminds me of colorful confetti. All I did was take the ink pad and press it to an acrylic block. I used my water bottle to spray some water onto the block and mixed it together with a small paint brush. Then I just flicked the color onto the water cardstock.

I popped the cut file up with some foam adhesive for dimension and tucked in some of the Sunshine & Blue Skies die cut flowers around the cut file. I also added an epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio. Here is a look at my completed layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my layout. If you haven't got your hands on this cut file yet you really need to! You can find it HERE in The Cut Shoppe

Happy | Erica Thompson

Happy Friday everyone! Erica with you today to bring you a colorful layout using the Happy Days cut file!
I knew I wanted a lot of color so I pulled out the new Simple Stories Oh Happy Day collection. I used a lot of different pattern papers from the collection to back the file and I love how it turned out. This file was pretty simple to back. I adjusted the size down a little bit to fit my layout the way I wanted.

This collection has my favorite colors in it and is just so fun and cheerful! If you haven't really had a look at the whole collection take a minute to do so! The photo I am documenting is from a crop I held in February. We had so much fun and I had a little photo backdrop set up! My good friend Jami and I took some silly selfies and I knew they had to be scrapped! I printed the photo off in black and white so the colors in the photo did not clash with the pattern papers.

I popped up the cut file with some foam adhesive and then added embellishments around the cut file. I did not add any layers behind my photo for this layout but did do an embellishment cluster off to one side.
I pulled out this heart epoxy from Happy Scrappin Studio. I thought it was perfect with this layout and I just love adding punches of black!  Here is a look at my completed layout.

I Am | Tarrah McLean

Hi Cut Shoppe fans,

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a fun layout with you that uses the brand new 'All The Angles' cut file

I love creating layouts like this where it gives you the opportunity to use up some leftover papers and embellishments you may have had sitting around for a while! I loved that I had enough papers to be able to back each of the triangles in this design.
All the Angles

I cut out the cut file from white cardstock, once the triangles were all backed behind, I used washi tape to secure them as I knew I was going to add machine stitching. I absolutely LOVE machine stitching and the effect it brings to a page.

I kept the title and embellishing fairly simple, I used some stickers, wood veneer, die-cuts and some metal brad stickers to embellish. Some things I did use foam tape with for added dimension however not all needed the dimension.

I added a little bit of tone on tone embellishing as you will see in the next 2 photos, where there was a teal paper, I added the same colour embellishment to that spot and so on. My photo was adhered with foam tape and some layers added enough for dimension. I placed the photo slightly to the right of the centre to allow for embellishing.

Thank you for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the awesome Cut Shoppe store! There are new designs being added all the time plus you will find your favourites in there too!

Happy creating!

Stay Cool Bro

Hey there! It's Devra  today. It features the new Stay Cool Bro cut file.

Come on. I kinda feel like this was made just for me. There are so many ways I want to use it. Because there's always more than one way to use a cut file right?  Today though, is simple. Two boys, brothers, bright colors, inspiring sentiments. Boom.

There are many layers to this cut file. I used the innermost lines, backing it with the entire outline of the file. Using this Simple Stories L'il Dude brightly colored stripe highlights the cut file and gives my page so much fun energy. It really was very easy to put together! It's such a statement it only needs a few embellishments. Small clusters of mixed ephemera, chipboard, stickers and A Flair for Buttons flair finish this off perfectly.

I'm so happy you  stopped by today. We love to see how you create with our cut files. Share with us in our Facebook Group, The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot. See you next time!

Love Love Love | Tarrah McLean

Hi Cut Shoppe friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you to share a new love themed layout in honour of Valentine's Day!

Love Struck

I used the Love and Adore collection by Simple Stories together with this cut file. I chose to cut the cut file out from the maroon paper with the small white spots and I love how it looks against the white background.
I placed my layers and photo to the left of the cut file to fill the space in front of the letter 'L's'. I then placed a heart embellishment cluster at the bottom of my photo to also fill in some more space.

I also layered some stickers over the 'O's' in the Love words in the cut file. The circle sticker I popped up with some foam dots and the hearts were placed down flat. I then also made another small cluster over on the right hand side to balance the left with the right.

There are so many gorgeous love themed cut files in The Cut Shoppe store to make your designs really shine, check them out. Ashley is always adding gorgeous new designs in the shop!

Happy creating!

Happy Holidays | Erica Thompson

Hello everyone! Erica here with you today to share a holiday layout using two cut files from The Cut Shoppe..Snow Day & Celebrate the Season!
https://www.etsy.com/listing/478879618/the-snow-day-background-cut-file-is?ga_search_query=snowflake&ref=shop_items_search_1
https://app.box.com/s/eo91pog3cfhn1ms5yz4r83uuf2go0l8x
I knew I wanted a white background as usual but this time I decided to add a little interest to the page by cutting the Snow Day background and just backing it with white cardstock. Just adds a little something to the background. I saved the snowflake pieces I punched out of the background to use on other projects.  I pulled out my holiday Clique Kit, some Simple Stories and some new epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio!

I backed the Happy Holidays cut file with 6x6 papers from the Clique Kits holiday kit. This kit featured the Echo Park Celebrate Christmas collection.
I popped up the file with some Therm O Web foam squares to add some dimension to my layout. The photo is from a few years ago and the last one I have of my oldest with Santa! I am not sure if I can talk him into just one more Santa photo for me so I can have at least one photo of all 6 kids with Santa!
Once the cut file was in place I added some layers behind my photo and adhered down with some foam squares. I began to embellish around the layout using cardstock stickers, puffy stickers and some epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio.
Here is a look at my final layout! You can also check out my process video by heading over to my YouTube channel!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to grab the Freebie Friyay Celebrate the Season cut file! Have a wonderful day!

Freezin' Season | Kelly Janes

Hey there, friends! Kelly here today to share a winter themed layout using the Snow Day Background Cut File.

I sliced a single snowflake, from the Snow Day Background Cut File, resized and duplicated the snowflake numerous times. I thencut the snowflakes on 2 different patterned papers and added them as extra die cuts around the layout.

A grid design is always a go-to design for me when I'm feeling not so creative! These photos aren't the best quality, but it was such a fun memory that I wanted to document as many of them as I could on a single layout. I used washi tape and created a flap where I could position/hide 2 more photos and also hide my journaling.

This layout was so fun to put together and I love how the snowflakes look scattered around the layout! They add extra dimension and texture...not to mention additional pops of color! Remember to head to the Etsy Store to check out all of the cut files! There are so many great designs in the shop!
