XOXO | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends,

It's Tarrah back with you and today I have a new love themed layout using the Love Ya cut file.

I cut the cut file design out of white textured cardstock and then backed the shadow parts with black cardstock. I then used a black pen to outline the outer edge and also the shadow pieces.

Love Ya

Going through my stash of bits and pieces of love collections I found I had lots of things with the XOXO on to add to my page. These were mostly from the Hello Love and Main Squeeze collections by Crate Paper.

I adhered the XOXO to some red cardstock using some craft foam underneath the cut file to give some height and dimension.

Over the top of the cut file, I layered lots of things like a pocket, some tags, a few stickers and some wood veneer hearts.

The fabric X and O are from my stash and I layered a heart puffy sticker and a gold glitter sticker. The flair button on the left of my page is also from my stash and it goes perfectly as it is a bicycle with hearts in the top basket!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you to create a love themed layout and to check out all the gorgeous cut file designs in the shop!

Happy creating!

Brave

Hello again friends! Candace back with you today to share a fun little travelers notebook spread.  I like to do spreads in my travelers notebook when I just want to highlight one picture and a short little story.  Today I wanted to capture my little guy and his love for the outdoors.  For this spread I used the XOXO file.

I started my spread by backing the file with a light grey star patterned paper.  I wanted my spread to look like a lose grid.

I placed my 3 blocks of design on the left side of the spread and my photo on the right.

For my title I stamped the word brave on one of my design blocks.

I added some light embellishments around the spread with chipboard, cork and metal. I like the contrast these three elements bring to the monochromatic design of the spread.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Give working in a lose grid a try on your next travelers notebook spread!  Have a beautiful day!

Hello

Hi everyone!

Mandy here with you today to share a layout that I created using one of the new release cut files from The Cut Shoppe etsy store!

I scrapped a beautiful photo that I took recently of my parents with my three kids. I love documenting the relationship between my kids and their extended family!

I used the lovely Shimelle 'Little by Little' collection for this layout! I love all the pretty colours and patterns throughout the collection!

This is the XOXO cut file that I used to create this page...

The XOXO cut file can be used as individual desings or a full background for your scrapbooking and papercrafting projects.

I used the image with the nine hearts and enlarged it to use as the background for my layout. I love how it turned out!

I backed each heart with patterned paper from the 'Little by Little' collection. I added foam dots in between the white cardstock and the patterned papers to give the page some extra depth and interest.

I used stickers and ephemera from the collection to embellish a couple of the hearts.

Here you can see how dimensional the page is!

I created an embellishment cluster to the right of the photo using more stickers and ephemera, as well as a cute little wooden button. I love all these pretty colours!

I used one of the die-cuts from the collection as the title for my layout. And I of course had to add foam tape underneath it, to give it some extra dimension! I seriously could not live without my foam tape! I finished the page off with a few lines of journaling.

Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!

All the Things I Love About You

Hello again friends!  Candace with you today to share a little more Valentine inspiration.  I just adore the latest shop release and my favorite has to be the new XOXO cut file. I love working with grids and creating a nice streamlined layout.  The XOXO file is perfect for creating a grid all about something or someone that you love.

To start the layout I used a piece of beautiful ombre patterned paper from Elle's Studio Little Moments collection.  I then cut the file out of white card stock so each square would measure 3x3.

I backed a few of the squares with patterned paper and left one open to show the background.  To complete the grid I added 3 photos of one of my little guy and a few journal cards cut down to 3x3.

I embellished the layout with a few tags, hearts, word strips and (my favorite) the XO black acrylic letters.  I used white embroidery floss to stitch down the acrylic letters.  I love the pops of white!

I added my journaling to the center card with my typewriter.  To add dimension I popped up the photos and various embellishments.

I can't say enough how much I love the final spread!  I stepped out of my comfort zone and went with a patterned paper background & I love it!!  Try stepping out of your comfort zone this week when your are getting crafty.  You just may surprise yourself and love what happens!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful week!

XOXO

Hello everyone, Julie back with you today sharing a layout I did with the fab X to the O cut file.

I cut it out on white cardstock, just shy of 12x12 & mounted it onto that awesome blue marble paper by crate paper ‘hello love’ & then again mounted that onto black cardstock & sewed around the cut file. I choose to print off two photos, one in black & white & another in colour & added a photo mat of layers behind that, putting it towards the bottom right. I half embossed my wood veneers in a teal colour & finished the layout off with ephemera & chipboard pieces.

Thanks for stopping by today & I’ll see you next month xoxo
