Boooooo for goodbyes!!

Sadly, this is my last post as a design team member of The Cut Shoppe.  I have LOVED every second I've spent on this team with such a great leader and talented designers, and I look forward to seeing where The Cut Shoppe goes.  Thanks to Ashley, for allowing me to overstay my welcome on this wonderful team.

For my last DT layout, I used a few of my favorite cut files.  I adore the Any Which Way background cut file, and turned it on it's side for my project. I got my title from the Let's Do Summer cut file.

Here's my layout.

Here's a closeup of the arrows, I added some patterned paper behind some of them.

Birthday Time

Hey everyone, Amy here to share a layout I created of my daughter celebrating her 14th birthday.  Of course, I had to use the It's My Party cut file and the August kit from Paper Camellia to create my page.

Here's my layout.

I couldn't resist that cute circle die cut Ashley created and I colored it with just a bit of mist.

For the "happy" banner, I did some smooshing with mists and watercolors to get a subtle effect to match the colors on my background paper.

Piggybacking on Michelle's post

Hey everyone, Amy here to share a layout I created using the same file Michelle used yesterday, Stay Focused. We obviously love this cut file, it has so many options.

Along with that cut file, I also used The Totally Triangles cut file background as well.

Here's the layout I created.

I put the cut file onto the black space on my picture.  It fit perfectly.

You can see, I backed some of the triangles with some patterned paper for some added interest.

Mother's Day layout

I hate to say it, but my older two have outgrown the excitement of Mother's Day.  No longer do they create some special project at school where I am invited to spend an afternoon being showered with their love.  That's when I'm super glad that I have this sweet guy to fall back on.  He did not disappoint me with his wonderful Mother's Day event at his preschool, and I couldn't wait to use the Happy Mom's Day cut file set to document it.

I grabbed the June kit from Paper Camellia to create the layout.

Here are some closeups.  I cut the flowers out several times, and then mix and matched them to make a larger bouquet.

The title I cut out of white so I could make it stand out against the background paper.

Thanks for visiting the blog, have a great day!

Sweet Love

Hi everyone, Amy here to share a layout I created using a couple shapes from the Doodle Dandy cut file set.  Here is the cut file.

Here is my layout that I created.  I knew I wanted to use the large arrow as a guide for my pictures, and the stacked word "love" as my title.

Here are some closeups.

I am...

Hey there, Amy here to share a layout I created using 12x12 Hello Love cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I cut out the 12x12 file, then trimmed it to fit onto my layout.

Once I got my file cut I grabbed the March kit from Paper Camellia, which is filled to the rim with the amazing I Am line from Simple Stories, and got to work. Here's my layout.

Here are some closeups.

You can see here I used mist to "paint" in some of the hearts.

I used my exacto-knife to trim out part of the gold heart on the black striped paper to slip the tag behind it. I also traced my journaling to fit inside the heart.

Ice Skating Fun

Hey there, Amy here to share a layout I created using one of the fabulous cut files you can grab for free by signing up for our newsletter.  If you haven't noticed, I really love using the free cut files Ashley creates for us.  This one was perfect since I had so many photos I wanted to include on this layout.

Here are a few closeups.  I put my pictures on the solid circles and used the open circles for patterned paper and different embellishments from the February Paper Camellia kit.

If you haven't already, make sure you sign up for the newsletter here (or visit the link at the top of the blog).  I promise you'll LOVE all the free cut files Ashley creates for it.

Valentine's Day Cards

Hey everyone, Amy here to share some Valentine's Day cards that I created with some of my favorite cut files.

Here are the individual cards along with the cut file I used.

This set was just released and I love it!!

After I took the collage picture above, I had to make one more card using the heart shape from the Sweet Hearts file set.
