It's Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new Summery layout using one of the cut files from the Full Circle set!

Full Circle Cut File set

I cut the cut file design from white cardstock and backed different patterned papers behind each of the triangle spaces making sure that each colour was opposite to the other one.   

I used up some older Bella Blvd papers and embellishments to create my layout. I love the bright colours and Summery feel this layout has. The pie-chart design is perfect to use up scraps of paper that you don't have many of! I embellished with a tone on tone look, trying to use embellishments in the same colours as the papers. 

I placed my photo right in the middle of the circle that I was able to balance the title on each side of the photo. I used craft foam under my photo to create height and dimension. I like how this allowed me to tuck embellishments into the sides of the photo like the blue fabric star from my stash!

July Calendar

Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new layout using two cut files, Flower Delivery & Brush Up Alpha.

I love cut files because they can be used as large focal points on a layout or they can be used as subtle embellishments; which is what I've done today. I recently discovered the Happy Planner and will be using one as a type of Project Life documenting. I was messing with my printer settings so I had a couple sheets of July photos. I stumbled on a calendar patterned paper from Bella Blvd and thought it would be perfect to use; especially since I'm currently loving planner style documenting!

I positioned my photos on the layout and then grabbed a few floral die cuts. I cut leaves and a pink flower from the Flower Delivery Cut File on patterned paper and tucked them in with the die cuts to add extra pops of color.

There was also an area for the month at the top of the 12x12 patterned paper, so I cut "July" from the Brush Up Alpha Cut File on black cardstock. I added my journaling and a few more embellishments to finish the layout.

I absolutely love the versatility of cut files! A large focal point or using them as die cut type embellishment can make such an impact on a layout or project! Don't forget to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files, classes, and digital stamps!

Did you see the Freebie Friyay cut file that was released yesterday? Well here is a look at it and you are going to want to head on over and download it today!

Super cute right? I cut this out as soon as Ashley posted it for design team members and began to create with it. I backed it with a lot of the papers from the Bella Blvd Splash Zone collection.

This cut file is perfect for all your summer photos! You can download it free HERE in The Cut Shoppe. Once my cut file was backed I decided to add some mists to my white background. I pulled different colored mists from my stash that matched my backed cut file. I sprayed the mists directly on my paper and blotted up with a napkin. I also added a couple splatters around the page. I just pulled the spray nozzle out of the bottle and flicked it all over the page.

I used die cuts from the Splash Zone collection to embellish my layout and an epoxy flair from Scappin Happy Studio. Back To School | Tarrah McLean

Hi there Cut Shoppe friends!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a Back to School themed layout. Down here in Australia, all the kids have just gone back to school after a long 6 week summer holiday. I always like to take my boys photos right at the start of the year when they go back!

The Back To School cut file was the perfect cut file to use on page...I love how all the fun colours from the papers look behind the title.

One of my favourite techniques is to back cut files with patterned papers. Once I had it all backed, I added foam adhesive to the back and adhered the whole thing to the grey striped background paper. I also added foam adhesive underneath my photos so they sat at the same height as the cut file on the page.

I love how the Star Student collection from Bella Blvd compliments this cut file, I didn't have a lot of it left but managed to find papers for all the spaces and just a few embellishments was all it needed to make it eye-catching and tell the story.  

I love how the foam adhesive adds the shadow and gives the page some dimension and life. I also added foam adhesive underneath the scalloped circle with the owl in the centre. I added stickers both tucked in under the cut file title and also on the top too.  

There are many cut files in The Cut Shoppe store that are similar to this large title one, so why not have a look in the store and give a layout like this a try? I would love to see it!

Love this, indeed! Oh so beautiful!

Such a milestone moment as my (not-so-little anymore) girl earned her very first pair of pointe shoes! This momentous occasion had to be documented, and the Go With The Flow cut file was the perfect choice! The triangular segments dictate that your eye is drawn straight into the center of the layout, so naturally that's where I've positioned my special photo!

It's super awesome, huh? I LOVE a good freebie, and I especially love how versatile this file is! It would definitely work for a variety of projects and themes - yay! 

Here's a closer look at it on my layout....

Instead of backing this cut file, I simply glue it directly onto my pretty ombre pattern paper background - the white against the pink is so striking & I think it really makes this incredible file shine! I then embellish the Go With The Flow cut file with sequins, Bubblegum Pink Nuvo Drops & those Cocoa Vanilla Studio Accessory Stickers. The stickers are the perfect sentiment additions to my layout. I also adorn the cut file with a flair button, chipboard banner & that sweet Bella Blvd bow!

And such an easy look to recreate! Simple cuts, no fancy paper piecing and a beautiful result!

All Day | Kelly Janes

Hey there friends! Kelly here today sharing a new layout using the Better Days Cut File.

If you're the mom of a 10 year old boy then you'll more than likely have a good understanding of the theme of my layout! HA! I wanted a way to document how much my son loves his electronics and the Better Days Cut File was the perfect way to show that he uses those electronics all day - everyday!

I cut all the days of the week in black cardstock and then used acrylic paints to paint stripes across the white cartstock background in rainbow order.

I positioned the cut files over the painted stripes and tucked photos beside the words. I used boy themed embellishments to enhance the video game theme. This layout really didn't need much journaling because the cut file does a great job conveying my point! HA!

Hey Hey Everyone!  Erica here with you today and I am so excited to share a layout using the newest Freebie Friyay cut file!  If you are new here then you need to head on over to our Freebie Friyay page and check out all the free awesome cut files!  You will find tons of inspiration on TCS Instagram as well using these files! Here is a look at the newest Freebie Friyay cut file Fancy Floral!

As soon as I saw this file I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!  For some reason when I saw this I instantly thought of a Christmas layout!  Yes I said CHRISTMAS...I know it is only September but when inspiration hits you have to roll with it right?  Well I pulled out my huge holiday stash and went to work backing this file!  It did take a lot longer than I thought it would but it was totally worth it in the end!  I used a mix of holiday collections from my stash but most papers are from Bella Blvd.  

The photo I am scrapping is one of our youngest son Liam Jay.  I bought him the cutest little Santa suit from Target and could not wait to take his photos!  He made some great faces for the camera and this is one of my favorites from our mini shoot!  

That face!!  I just love it to pieces!  I knew this photo had to be in the center of the Fancy Floral cut file!  I backed it with a piece of the black pattern paper from Bella Blvd and popped it up from the page.  I also popped the cut file up as well but not as high as the photo!  

I added lots of little embellishments all around the cut file and it reminds me of a holiday wreath!  I found this Ho Ho Ho wood veneer in my stash and I think it is the perfect piece for this layout!  Here is a look at my completed layout using Fancy Floral!

Summer Loving | Erica Thompson

Hey there Cut Shoppe Fans!  Erica here with you today with a fun summer layout using the Rough Waters cut file!

I had the cutest photo of my niece at the lake and thought this would be the perfect cut file to use!  I knew I wanted somewhat of a vertical design so I resized the cut file so it was just fitting the center  part of my 12x12 paper.  I cut it out of some Bella Blvd Secrets of the Sea paper.  This collection is so fun and the colors are so pretty!  I used a white piece of American Crafts cardstock as my base and added some splatters of blues and mint green to the middle of my page.  

A few layers of pattern paper from the collection went behind my photo and I stuck it down with foam tape right in the middle of the page!  I pulled out all the embellishments I had from the Secrets of the Sea collection and began to embellish!  Now this is not mermaid in my photo but thought since we were by the water it would be fun to add 3 mermaids around the page tucked into the cut file!  

I embellished around each mermaid using puffy stickers and enamel dots!  I found the title for my layout in the Fancy Pants Designs Hello Sunshine Ephemera pack!  I thought the layout needed a little bit of black and this was perfect!

Summer Sun & Fun | Donna Espiritu

Hello TCS friends! Donna here and today I'm going to share a fun summer layout using the Rough Waters cut file.

I used just half instead of the whole 12x12 cut file. I cut it with my Silhouette Cameo machine using a bluish patterned paper to mimic waves. I also backed some of the spaces with a patterned paper with darker or contrasting color then mounted with foam tape.

The flamingo and "sun & fun" part of the title were from the Free Printable you can download from the TCS SCrap Spot Facebook Group.

The colors in the Clique Kits "Horizon" kit and the free printables are perfect together.

I splattered some teal, yellow and coral paint mists to add texture and mounted most of the embellishments with foam tape for a bit of dimension.
