Away We Go!

Hi friends! It's Monique here with you today and I'm about to share the last layout I created as a member of The Cut Shoppe Design Team. Sadly the design team will be finishing at the end of this month. I can't believe how fast this year went! I've had the time of my life and am so grateful to Ashley for having me on her team and letting me play with all of her fun cut files!

For today's layout I thought it would be a good idea to use my favorite cut file once more: the "All Heart" cut file!

Here's what I created with it, also using Crate Paper's Oasis collection:

and here's the "All Heart" cut file I used:

I so love this cut file! and although I've used the cut file a few times before the layouts always turn out totally different! Here are a couple of close-ups ... as you can see I've adhered the title in the large hearts and filled all the empty hearts (large and small) with enamel hearts.

Isn't the puffy flamingo the best?!!

And if you're curious about the other layouts I created with this cut file, here are two of them: one I created for Doodlebug:

and one I created for Pretty Little Studio:

It's only now that I notice all the pinks in my pages! Must be because of all the hearts, lol.

Now, if you're looking for this cut file or any other cut file with hearts just check The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store! There are so many fun designs and products available at the store.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I am sure I will see you all around (just follow me on Instagram or my blog).

Hugs,
Monique

Chasing Dreams

Hello friends! It's Monique with you today to share the layout I created with The Cut Shoppe's Love Everlasting cut file. When I got started on my layout I knew I wanted to use the Chasing Dreams collection from Crate Paper and then I remembered this cut file of the butterfly I downloaded for free (!) from The Cut Shoppe's blog (May 12, 2016) and I just knew it would be perfect! Here's what I did:

And this is the FREE cut file I used: Love Everlasting

I totally adore the butterfly cut file and am so glad I thought of it! The fringe butterfly from the Chasing Dreams collection looks great adhered on top of it.

Here are a few more close-ups of my layout:

If you love the Love Everlasting cut file too then I've got good news for you: it's still available for FREE! Just hop over to this blog post from May last year and follow the directions!

Of course you can find lots of other fabulous cut files in The Cut Shoppe's Etsy Store

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Spring!

Hi everyone, it's Monique here sharing a colorful Spring layout. Last Saturday I visited the "Keukenhof" for the very first time in my life. For those of you who've never heard of the Keukenhof: The Keukenhof can be found in The Netherlands and is the best day out among flowers! There are more than 7 million bulbs in bloom this Spring and there are about 800 different kinds of tulips! For my layout I definitely needed a Spring cut file and was so happy I could finally use the cut file I've been eyeing for ages: the Social Butterfly!

Using Doodlebug's "Spring Things" collection I created this page:

and this is the "Social Butterfly" cut file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store I used:

Here are a few close-ups of my layout: I cut the Social Butterfly cut file from a very colorful Doodlebug paper as I wanted to place it on a white background:

I placed a lot of fun die-cuts over the butterflies in a way you can still sees part of the butterflies;

After sewing here and there on my page I was done! Really love the result! Hope you do too.

For lots of other Spring cut files make sure to visit The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store! Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Summer Vibes

Hi friends! It's Monique on The Cut Shoppe blog today sharing a layout created with the new "Summer Vibes" cut file. I really love this cut file and it's so perfect to combine with lots of the new summer collection that are out there! I used the Oasis collection from Crate Paper to create my page:

I cut both the title and the flamingo from the Oasis "Sunset" sheet. I love how the color changes in this sheet.

Apart from the Oasis collection I also used a few embellishments from the Chasing Dreams collection, also from Crate Paper:

And here's the Summer Vibes cut file I used:

LOVE YOU & LOVE COFFEE!

Hi friends! It's Monique here again today sharing a layout created the fabulous "Heart Felt" cut file from The Cut Shoppe's Etsy Store. I really adore this cut file and could use it over and over again. Today I chose a photo of my youngest making me coffee ... this is one of the first times he's doing that so that had to be documented. Normally I'm the one making him a hot chocolate, but today he wanted to do something in return. He's such a sweet kid!! The Healthy Hello Soup collection from Jillibean Soup was perfect, with it's coffee cups papers and die-cuts.

The Heart Felt cut file is really a background cut file but cut in a smaller size it's just as awesome!

A few close-ups:

I created my layout on a sheet of white AC cardstock, but when I was finished with my page I found the result a bit too white and decided to use my SC water color paint to color the inside of the hearts in a light yellow. Love the result!

And don't you just love these cup die-cuts from Jillibean Soup?!

I added some random machine stitching and my page was done! Hope you like it!

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Don't forget to have a look in The Cut Shoppe's Etsy Store for many more beautiful cut files!

You Are Here!

Hey friends! It's Monique on the blog today sharing a layout created with the Sassy Circles cut file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store and the You Are Here collection from Simple Stories.

When I first saw this cut file I just couldn't imagine how the result would look like and I've been wanting to give this cut file a try ever since. So now I have! And I adore the result!! With the colorful striped background paper the result is really awesome! The circles and hearts are only cut half and you have to fold them over ... in this photo it's better visible:

I decided to either fold the circle or the heart and not both of them at the same time. I sooo love this cut file! Also because of the versatility: you can use it for any subject at all, from Valentine's layouts to travel layouts like mine.

And this is the Sassy Circles cut file I used:

And a few more close-ups of my page:

I hope I've been able to inspire you a bit today. You can find the Sassy Circles cut file set in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store, where you can find many more awesome cut files!

Thank you for visiting our blog! Have a lovely day!

Life Is Beautiful

Hi friends! It's Monique here sharing a 12x12 layout using some new cut files from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store: "Instant Camera" and "Quirky Quotes". I always love using frames on my layouts, so when I saw the new Instant Camera cut files I wanted to use them straight away. The "limited edition" quote from the Quirky Quotes cut file can be used on any layout so I cut that too. Here's what I did:

And these are the cut files I used:

The collection I used is from Fancy Pants and is called "Life Is Beautiful". I just love the bright and happy colors of this collection! They were just perfect for the photos of my son and one of his friends having fun in the "Efteling", which is the most famous amusement park in The Netherlands.

Here are a few close-ups of the four Instant Camera frames. I cut them at the size 8 cm x 12 cm (which is a bit larger than 3"x 4.5") and glued a little piece of patterned paper behind the lower half of the frame. Next I also matted all of them and behind two of the frames I also added a photo. I arranged them evenly on my page and embellished them. The machine stitching and the journaling was added last.

And also a close-up of the Quirky Quotes quote I used:

This is it! Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to have a look in The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out the latest new cut files.
