Hey friends! Kelly back today with a new layout using the Summer Vibes Cut File!
I recently took a trip to Los Angeles and I remembered how much I love palm trees. After I snapped this picture I text my husband (who was still home in Indiana) and told him we need to live where the palm trees grow. I knew I wanted to scrapbook this photo using the Summer Vibes Cut File.
I cut the palm trees using two patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Paige Evans Horizon Collection. I added machine stitching to each of the palm trees. I love the added texture stitching brings to a layout! I positioned the palm trees on the right and left of the layout with the photo in the bottom center.
Before adhering anything to the white cardstock background, I added a sunburst using an older stencil and a combo of modeling paste and yellow acrylic paint. I then adhered everything down to the background and added a few embellishments around the photo.
Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me, and remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Store to check out all of the cut files!

"Memories" with Kira
I started with this ADORABLE picture of my youngest son. We were at the zoo and despite having a super fun time, he likes to give me all the sass he can muster for a photo. I decided to play off the palm trees in the background of this photo and use the Summer Vibes cut file from The Cut Shoppe.
I started by duplicating the palm tree image so I had three on my page, and resized them to various sizes. I also flipped one so they wouldn't all be leaning the same way.
Then I took some smooth watercolor paper, and lightly traced where my trees would be on the paper once I backed the cut file. Then I used my watercolors to paint each tree a different color. Since I planned on using mostly Amy Tangerine's Shine On collection, I kept my colors in the same palette of that.
Once my watercolor was dry, I adhered it to the back of my page. Then I decided to add some texture to my layout by hand stitching around my palm trees in coordinating embroidery thread.
Then it was just a matter of embellishing the page! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Guest Designer | Samantha Klaebe
We love seeing how all of you are using the Cut Files from The Cut Shoppe! And when you share on social media and tag us, sometimes it can even earn you a Guest Designer spot! Today, Samantha Klaebe is joining us as our July Guest Designer. Sam submitted to our last DT call inquiring about a guest spot, and we loved her cards so much, we just had to have her share on the Blog! Before we take a look at Sam's cards, let's get to know a little bit more about her.
Hello I’m Samantha. I’m from South Australia, Australia. Any spare time I have, you’ll find me in my craft room creating cards! I’ve always been a creative person – so I find real joy in making cards not necessarily for anyone but because it allows me to express myself creatively and even emotionally. It’s very relaxing at the end of a crazy day to just sit down (in the quiet) and concentrate on nothing else but colour combos and stamp placement. If I’m not in my craft room then you‘d find me chasing after my young family of three.

Now let's take a look at Sam's cards! First up, is a fun pineapple card, using the Summer Vibes cut file.
Sam's second card features the Flutterby cut file, and we love the way she altered it from it's larger size, to make it work for her card.
How awesome are both of her designs??!! It just goes to show, that our cut files can be used for all of your craft related projects!
Thanks so much for joining us this month, Samantha! You can follow Sam's Blog and find more of her inspiring work by visiting My Little Paper World.

Really? | Kelly Janes
Hey there friends! Kelly back with you today sharing a new 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Summer Vibes Cut File.
I loved the diagonal design of this text print patterned paper that I used as my background, and I knew I wanted my layout to go in the same direction. So I tilted my photos along with the embellishments to fit the flow of the paper, but I felt something was still missing.
I went through my cut file collection and came across the Summer Vibes Cut File. I cut two large palm leaves from a striped patterned paper and tucked them alongside the photos. I love the extra pop of color and how the leaves help fill up the page. I LOVE the summer feel of this layout!
Thanks for spending part of your day with me!! Remember to head to The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out all of the cut files & digital collections!

Guest Designer | Rachel O'Neal
We are so excited to welcome our June Guest Designer, Rachel O'Neal! Rachel caught our eye from being on the Paper Issues Design Team, and using a lot of our cut files on her projects! She has a fun, whimsical style and we just had to have her Guest Design with us this month! Before we take a look at Rachel's awesome layout, let's get to know a little bit more about her.
My name is Rachel. I’m a wife and stay-at-home/homeschooling mom to my two boys. I started scrapbooking when my husband and I began dating – 14 years ago. I’ve had a Cricut for most of that time and have always loved using it with scrapbooking. I discovered The Cut Shoppe a year and a half ago and Ashley’s cut files are perfect!
Thanks so much for joining us Rachel! Now it's time to see what she created!
For my
layout, I used the Spiral Scallop cut file as my background. I sized the
circles so that they fit perfectly
inside each other and then welded them together to make one big cut. Then I
used The Summer Vibes cut file for my title.
Gorgeous layout Rachel!! The layers are awesome and the Spiral Scallop background is perfect backed with florals!
You can find more of Rachel's work and her social media accounts, by visiting her Blog, Scrap with Rachel. Thanks again for sharing your work with us, Rachel!

Ain't Life Grand
Welcome to the Cut Shoppe blog, Wendy here today with some tropical inspiration! I've used the Fresh Squeezed cut file as my starting point, Summer Vibes, and Ain't Life Grand files along with my Cocoa Daisy May kits filled with Crate Paper goodies.
Here is a close up of the orange slices, I've backed some with white and others with some tropical colors for a splash of color.
My next piece to the layout was the palm trees which I also mirror imaged and cut to a large size to hold my picture and to continue the tropical feel.
My final touch was the title cut in black from the Ain't Life Grand cut files.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you are feeling in a tropical mood! You can find these cut files and more at the Cut Shoppe etsy shop.

Summer Vibes
Hello friends! Candace back with you today to share a fun travelers notebook spread using the Summer Vibes cut file. This has to be my new favorite file and I know that I will be using it a ton this summer. You can check it out in the shop here.
For my spread I started with a cute pool photo of one of my little guys. I backed the photo with patterned paper from the Crate Paper Oasis collection. Next I cut the Summer Vibes sentiment out of green paper in the collection.
For the right side of the spread I cut the palm tree out of white watercolor paper. I used mint and tan to watercolor the tree and adhered it to the right side.
My final touches to the spread were a few puffy and word strip stickers to tie the left and right side of the spread together.
I adore the final spread with its light summer colors and feel!
Thanks for stopping by today! Give watercoloring the cut files a try on your next spread and watch how they pop off the spread!

Days like this are the Best
Hey friends!
Mandy with you today to share a layout that I created using the new Summer Vibes cut file set from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store!
Mandy with you today to share a layout that I created using the new Summer Vibes cut file set from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store!
We recently decided to go on a little impromptu holiday to a lovely place that's about 2 hours up the coast from where we live. It was so nice to take a break as a family and we had such a relaxed time away! I think this selfie that we took while we were away really captures this feeling!
I used the lovely Endless Summer collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio for this layout.
The Summer Vibes cut file set is perfect for documenting holiday snaps!

There are so many cool icons in this set, and I know that I'll be using it again and again! I decided to use the palm tree image on this layout to mimic the ones in the background of my photo.
First of all I flipped the tree horizontally, as I wanted to place it on the left hand side of my layout and have it leaning towards the centre of the page. I then enlarged it so that I could make it a feature on the page, and cut the leaves and the trunk separately out of two different patterned papers. I then added foam tape underneath it to raise it off the page and give it some extra dimension. I really love how it looks!
There are so many beautiful embellishments in the Endless Summer collection! Here you can see that I created a cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the photo that includes some die cut flowers, a paper bloom, and a flair button. I also added a couple of wooden buttons (woodies) to the layout.
I added my title up in the top right hand corner of the page using alphabet stickers from the Endless Summer collection as well as wood veneer words from the Cocoa Vanilla Colour Me Happy collection. I love combining different alphas to create my titles!
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! If you have some vacation or summer photos to scrap, then you must go check out this cut file set in The Cut Shoppe store!

Summer Vibes
Hi friends! It's Monique on The Cut Shoppe blog today sharing a layout created with the new "Summer Vibes" cut file. I really love this cut file and it's so perfect to combine with lots of the new summer collection that are out there! I used the Oasis collection from Crate Paper to create my page:
I cut both the title and the flamingo from the Oasis "Sunset" sheet. I love how the color changes in this sheet.
Apart from the Oasis collection I also used a few embellishments from the Chasing Dreams collection, also from Crate Paper:
And here's the Summer Vibes cut file I used:
For lots of other Summer cut files make sure to visit The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store! Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Wishing you a wonderful day!
