Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree | Elsie Robinson

Hey friends, it's Elsie here with one last Christmas themed layout before we head into the New Year!

Nothing is more quintessentially Christmas than a Christmas tree, and I love the modern and geometric trees that are available in the TCS store. I used a combination of trees from the Tree Farm set and the North Pole set for this layout.

I backed each section of the trees with a different pattern, and I also used small foam dots to raise the cut file away from the patterned paper for more dimension and shadow. I've never done this technique before and whilst it was quite fiddly, it was well worth the effort!

I also used some gold and copper sequins on the trees to look like tree ornaments. I love the shimmer this adds to them!

I also used the 'rockin' around the christmas tree' phrase for my title and backed that with different patterned papers to match the trees. I love the mismatched look!

The clouds from the go fly a kite set are so cute and whimsical. I cut them from white cardstock in a variety of sizes and used them all over my background to help set my Christmas scene!

Thanks for stopping by today everyone. I hope you all have a happy and safe New Years, and I'll see you back on the blog next year! ;)

Naughty or Nice?

Hi there everyone!

It's Tarrah back with you today.....I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas?!!

I am popping by to share a layout that I created using 3 of my favourite cut file sets from the Christmas range in The Cut Shoppe store right now!

I just love that you can cut any file with any type of medium....for my cut files on this layout, I have used mostly cardstock but you can use patterned paper or vellum as well....the list goes on!
I teamed up the awesome cut files with the Heidi Swapp 'Believe Collection' and some of my favourite pieces of Christmas wood veneer...

The cut files I used on this layout are:

The Naughty and the Nice from the 'North Pole' set

The middle tree from the 'Season's Greetings' set..

The Merry Frame from the 'Christmas Captured' set..

Thank you so much for stopping by today...I hope you didn't eat and drink too much!!

Santa's List

Hi there, Mary-Ann here to share my recent Christmas creation combining two of my favorite files from the shop!  In my small town, they host a festival of trees.  You have never before seen so many trees under one roof, I promise!  It is truly amazing.  Santa just happened to be there the same day as us!  Here is one of the photos I captured of my boy, intently listening and talking to Santa.   This may even be our Christmas card this year.

For the background, I chose the Winter Wishes 12x12 and my gold sketch pen.  After the sketching was complete, I deleted all of the unwanted words from the background and enlarged several of the stars for the gold and vellum stars you see scattered around my layout.

Here is the most current wish list for Santa.

I printed "Santa's List" from The North Pole cut file and added it to the center of the frame.

Here are the cut files  I used on this layout and where you can find them in the shop.

The Naughty and Nice Triangles just had to go on this layout!  You never know what mood they will be in from one minute to the next!  HA!!  And I wanted to cut the Merry Captured Frame in a contrasting cardstock color, to make my photo stand out.

Here's a look at all of the new Cut File sets you will find in the Shop today!
