A Walk in the Clouds | Amanda Baldwin

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more cut file inspiration with The Cut Shoppe!
Amanda here, and today I am featuring the gorgeous Walk in the Clouds digital cut file
Here's what I created with it....

"Bloom & Grow"

So beautiful! That Walk In The Clouds digital file takes this layout from pretty to pretty special!!!
Love it!
I have cut the clouds with pattern paper Sunset Strip from the new Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Midnight collection.  I love the inky appearance of this ombre paper - it's so beautiful! A gorgeous watercolor look without the mess! Actually, my entire layout is created from this scrapbook collection.

But it's those clouds that have my heart!!!
Here's a better look at the Walk In The Clouds digital file.....

Such a playful & whimsical design! Perfect for a dreamy layout background!

To make the clouds even more impressive, I have mounted them on thick foam tape. Creating both dimension and interest!

You'll also spot that I back some of the clouds with pattern paper Moonlight - another dreamy element & detail!

I've adorned some of the clouds with pretty embellishments (hearts, flair, sequins & even a title!) for added interest!
My darling photo is also mounted onto the clouds base.....

So very beautiful! Love this, indeed!
Here's another view for you....

The Walk In The Clouds cut file is really magical!

I do hope you're feeling inspired to use this amazing digital file in your next project!
Don't have this digital file in your collection, yet?

Shine On by Jill

Hey TCS friends, it's Jill with another page using an adorable background file from The Cut Shoppe Etsy store!  This layout features the A Walk In The Clouds 12x12 background file and a sweet picture of my Q, basking in the sun.

I didn't want to cover the entire background paper, so I cut this file slightly smaller this time; I've used these adorable clouds before and loved the look of them full size at 12x12, but I felt like smaller was better this time around.

I backed a few of the open cloud cuts with a floral pattern, but wanted some of the pretty background paper to show through as well.

My photo is 3x4 and I layered a few coordinating papers behind it, then framed the whole piece with a die cut frame.  I added a few chipboard pieces on this layout as well.

The title is a phrase from some glitter Thickers, I added the date and kept the rest of the page super simple.  With all the patterns and the fun cloud cut file, I felt like I had enough on this layout.

Thanks for checking out my latest layout for TCS!  Go on and get crafty ;)

In The Clouds

I'm back with another Costa Rica layout! One of the really cool things we did was hike a couple of canopy trails. These trails are like normal hiking trails, until you get to a gully, then you walk on a long suspension bridge that goes right out over the tops of the trees. It's a really unique look, but more on that in a future layout. These forests are high up in the mountains. Cost Rica is pretty narrow, only 76 miles at the most narrow point, and is divided by a mountain range that tops out at 12,500 feet. Monteverde, where we went hiking is about 5000 feet. It is a cloud magnet, trapping the cloud cover that blows in from either the Carri bean or the Pacific, depending on which way the wind is blowing, enveloping the forest in a blanket of warm moisture.

For my layout I started by cutting a matte from A Walk In The Clouds. I left this white and placed on blue scripty paper. Next I cut the clouds from Happy Clouds in both vellum and white card stock. I used distress ink to color the card stock clouds in dreamy blues. For my title I used the last 3 words in Child @ Heart.

Guest Designer Mandy Melville

Today we have three gorgeous layouts to share, from our first January Guest Designer, Mandy Melville!  Mandy caught our eye, when she started tagging The Cut Shoppe, when she shared layouts using the cut files from the Shop...and we loved her work!  So we are excited to have Mandy with us today, and to see what she created!  Let's get to know a little bit more about Mandy.

http://mandymelville.blogspot.com.au/

I live on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales in Australia. I’ve been married to Andrew for 13 years and we have three children, Abigail (11 years), Isaac (8 years), and Eleanor (1 year). I’ve been scrapbooking for about 11 years, since my oldest was a baby, and it has become more than just a hobby, it’s my passion! I love preserving my family’s memories, and I equally love the creative outlet that scrapbooking provides! My style varies as I like to let the mood of the photos dictate the style of the layout and I like to try out different techniques, though most often on my layouts you will see layering, clustered embellishments, pretty patterned papers, and sometimes a little bit of mixed media. I also love to use my Silhouette Cameo to create titles, backgrounds and other elements for my layouts. I am very lucky to be regularly published in Scrapbooking Memories magazine (an Australian mag) and to be on some awesome design teams including D-lish Scraps, Stuck?! Sketches, Scrap the Girls, and Off the Rails Scrapbooking. I am so thrilled to have been invited to guest design for The Cut Shoppe as I love creating with their cut files!! If you’d like to take a look at my work, you can visit my blog at http://mandymelville.blogspot.com.au/

You're A Child @ Heart

Happy October everyone!  Katrina from Paper, Scissors and Glue here today to share a layout about clouds!  I used two files from the shop.  The "Child @ Heart" and the "A Walk in the Clouds" files for my layout I made today.

Let's take a closer look, shall we?!  I back some of the clouds, not all with pattern papers.  I used a 6x6 mini pad that was part of the collection I used.  The patterns are smaller, so they make for great backing papers.

After die cutting the title, I adhered it to a piece of pattern paper that I had done as an offset of my title and decided I couldn't see it well enough.  So I carefully took a firm sponge and added gelatos to the areas.  Hindsight, it would have been better to have done this before adhere the title, but it worked1  I just used the sponge to smooth out the color some.  I then added another offset, based not the first offset in the black pattern paper to make the title stand out more.

A little clustering, a little journaling and I had a layout that was done!

Thanks for stopping by The Cut Shoppe blog today.  Have a great Friday!

You're the one

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a rare LO featuring my husband. :)

I have wanted to use the "A Walk in the Clouds" file since Ashley first shared it. I LOVE this design! My fellow DT members have used it perfectly so I wanted to show you a different way to use it - cut up :) Yes it might feel a bit strange to cut up such a perfect file, but be brave! You can then use the clouds on several projects :)

I have also used part of a title from the "So in Love" cut file. I outlined it to make it stand out more against the patterened papers and the photo!

Thanks for stopping by today, please let us know when YOU have created with any of the cut files!!

Reach for the Stars and you will fly!

Hi

My next layout that I have to share with you, I have used one of the files from our recent blog hop called A Walk in the Clouds. Which I absolutely fell in love with and couldn't wait to use on one of my own layouts.

Often I love cut files but think how could I use it on my layout where it fits in with the overall theme or idea I am trying to portray.  In this instance, I used the clouds as a reference to the sky and my sentiment of reaching for the stars and how you can achieve amazing things if you put your mind to it.

Close ups:

Hope I have inspired you to think about the different ways you can use The Cut Shoppe cut files to support the particular feel or theme of your layouts!

Take care

PS. I Love You

 Hey there!
Sarah here to share a layout I made with the super cute cut file  "A Walk in the Clouds" and "Let Love In" Printables!! I am in love with both of these files!!  I'm on a vellum kick lately and I love the dreamy feel it gives to this layout of my 8 year old reading to his two younger brothers before bed!

I cut the clouds out from the bokeh vellum from Crate paper. I loved that paper so much I just had to buy two! lol  I really love how it turned out!

I had some of these chipboard clouds from October Afternoon kickin around, so I stamped them with a text background stamp and some mint ink to add a little interest!

I also printed the printable on vellum and I have to say, I'm hooked! So love the softness of vellum! It's my new bff ;)

Here's a link to the files I used so you can head over to the shop and grab them right away! hehe ;)

Thanks for stopping by!!
